Original Series Cast Chimes In

Sounds to me that Peter is simply huffing because he wasn't asked to be a part of it, and probably won't be as the series moves on. Guys if you wana bring back old cast stick with The Hoff, I loved the movie and can't wait for the series!! :)

im glad the guy who played rc3 has some class and brains,all these people on this site keep going on bout how good the new knight rider was BUT IT REALLY WASNT, you got people who love the orignal (like me),but theres others who just want to make themself beleve this crappy new movie was good..

seriously watch this new movie,,then go watch season of the old knight riders 'urmm season 3' then really sit think and then your relise this new 1 was really just a slap and spit in the face of the old knight rider

I for one would love to see more of the Hoff. His presence would surely be a sweeps ratings winner. I want to see a meaty story for Michael Knight.

I disagree with some that his role in the pilot was irrelevant. He helped sway Mike to stay with the foundation with his "one man can make a difference" chat.

But Id like to see much more than a cameo next time should we get a series :)

I think these folks in the UK should stuff it and look foward. Hoff was awsome the new Kitt is great. I think they shoul bring the old karr back too fight the new Kitt that would be way cool. Maybe even have the old Kitt in an episode or two.

Be honest with yourselves if it was up to us fans we would make a movie like knight rider 2000 and wasn’t that just an awful experience. I was sad to see old kitt in parts at the beginning of the movie, but we must let him go, I think too much of the past show in the new one will make it a hokey fan film. I think the new knight rider has potential to bring in a new audience; it has a little Han Solo and a little James Bond. I thought the writing was very clever. I’m very eager to see what they will do with it. (My only gripe is the several rear view mirrors kitt regrew while he was powered down. )

I want to comment somewhere on this show. I am fan of the Mustang and I am a fan of Knight Rider, however merging the two is blasphemous. I don't know if it is the makers of the show who could not wait or Ford who made a sweet deal, but KITT was a Pontiac Trans Am a General Motors product not a Ford Mustang. It is for this reason, the failure to stay true, that I will refuse to watch the show.

This new movie was a million times better than KR2000 could ever have hoped to be! Setting it in "the future", with a washed up Michael Knight, killing Devon and having a car that could do bugger all... yeah that was Knight Rider (sarcasm).

And stop with the Mustang hating! "KITT is Trans-Am, nothing else" etc etc = yawwwn! This is a NEW KITT, completely new, not the one from the original series. And I think he looks great, sounds great (congrats to Val Kilmer) and has cool abilities and yet retains that innocence and yet self-praise that early KITT had. Spot-on! :D

This new film was cleverly-written, well acted, it had charm and wit and tons of action. It is right up there with Knight Of The Pheonix and actually betters it in my opinion. And the many ways it tied in to the original was wonderful.

And can those people who feel the need to insult the fans of the original that love this new incarnation please stop. We are all entitled to our own opinions, and I for one do not like being called names/being insulted just because I like something you don't. I am a huge fan of all four seasons of the original, and think this new series rocks so far. It has great potential to top even the classic series and I for one can not wait for it to air.

Come on LMFAO. I wouldn't discredit the movie that much. I read a lot of comments like these meaning that all some of you people could only think about is how you remembered it back in the 1980's.

If they're gonna make a new Knight Rider for today, like I mentioned earlier, it has to be update with today's reality. Times have changed and the way it was back then was different.

I mean hey, This new KITT destroyed a FULL SIZE SUV for cryin out loud and repairs himself from that. The old KITT couldn't do that. That's gotta count for something.

And usually a new movie event like this is only just the beginning of what my come later on if they make this a series, which I do look forward to.

Oh and as for Joseph Jones, I did a little more Research over the internet on Ford. It is a part of the General Motors foundation. And besides, the Shelby-Cobra KR Mustang has 240 MORE HORSEPOWER than that of the Trans-Am. Pontiac stopped making the Firebird Trans-AM since 2002 and that only had 310 horses. It makes more sense to have a car up to date for the here and now with this year and this time. I say the new Mustang Cobra is the perfect candidate.

I say why not give this a chance and enjoy the show for what it's meant for.

KR2000 was horrible. They even wrote the new movie almost as if KR2000 never happened.

Example: Kit body parts still around (KR 2000 had them recycled). Mention of only 2 cars ever being built (when the car from KR2000 would have made 3 actual cars).

Good move to kind of reinvent KR history if you ask me.

Anyone who says the original is better is a fool. Peter is a fool. Where's his career? Nice goatee btw, at least he has that. Anyhow new car, new cast. Will be good to have mr knight though. Maybe in the same position as devon miles.

Although I admit that it would be nice to see the Hoff around sometimes, I say let the new cast make themselves legendary if the show continues as a series.

OH man i missed RC3 I have not seen him/Peter Parros in anything since knight rider.

I agree with RC3 though the whole show need work if they start it.

And they can start with scrapping the new KITT character and starting over, I mean it can turn out worse can it? unless they start using VW Bugs.. It can look any worse for a high tech crime fighting car can it?

i think that the new knightrider is very good as for you cowabunga get a grip this is the future get over it this was just the first preview of whats to come later on the new kitt will hopefully have better upgrades like the old one:)

While I must admit that I am a diehard fan of the original series the new movie has it's ups and downs and deserves a chance to prove itself. To start off, the whole morphing modes rang to close to the Viper's transformation into it's Defender form and KITT's voice had no personality behind it. I liked the storyline and that fact that Mike Tracer is Michaels son(shows what MK was really doing behind the scenes!) I'm sure that if and when this is turned into a series it will be better played out with more depth in its storytelling (my one request is I hope KARR makes his come back as a Chevy Camero cocept)

KITT's voice had no personality?!?! Were you watching the promos or the movie lol? Val has nailed KITT's persona to a "T" and I think he's done a sterling job getting into the character, especially on such short notice. Can't wait for the series :D

It's all about KITT's scanner. In the original, it had a certain presence about it, gliding left to right in a definite, deliberate movement. It had an 'attitude' and just like the Cylon eyes from Galactica. It was iconic to the show and seems to have lost that now. The new show was great though, the new car's hot; I was just disappointed with the light. Not much of a gripe, more of a fan-boy niggle. The really great thing is that, like with the relaunching of Doctor Who, a whole new generation will remember watching Knight Rider as they were growing up, and they're going to be seeing it anew...

First off this dude shouldnt really comment about anything! The character RC3 was utterly useless. out of place & made the 4th season even more horrible! What did he do besides get insulted by Devon constantly for being basic & simple plus always getting shot down by Michael trying to get into the action lol. He was basiclly the semi driver & the fact is he was in the show when it was going down the tubes & just helped it fall! Then he has the nerve to imply why he was left out of the new movie! Sorry Peter you shouldnt make make negitive comments when you are one of the most hated characters ever on the show lol! Lets face it guys we all could have done without the SPM, convertible KITT & Peter Parros! All the things he really wanted to see & commented about we didnt want anyway!

I watched the new Knightrider movie and it was great. I evaen taped it to. I was hoping that David would have a bigger part but he only showed up at the end of the movie. I didn't like that! How come Peter Parros wasn't asked to be in the movie?Same thing with Patricia Mcpherson and Rebecca Holden! I was hoping that Willam Daniels would of voiced KITT but he didn't if KR does come back to TV just like in the 1980's Please have
the same cast be on the show in the 80's and have a picture of Edward so that they can deciated the new KR show to him!

Seriously you guys. New car, New KITT, we may as well get a new voice since this is the next generation continuation of Knight Rider.

But don't get me wrong. I have all respect in the world for William Daniels who played the voice of the old KITT and we all loved him for that, BUT, for over 80 years old, I mean come on. That guy is WAY too old to sound the same as he did and continue on as KITT.

Val Kilmer is a lot younger, more up to date and perfectly played the new KITT's voice flawlessly and solidly and it was just right. And besides, since the Knight Industries 3000 is another character of KITT, compared to Knight Industries 2000, it makes even more sense to have a different character voice.

And as they've mention on some parts of the movie, Knight Industries 3000 is ANOTHER KITT. THIS IS NOT THE SAME KITT. So they may as well get a different character voice.

Bottom line, this is a new crew of characters for this new show and a new generation, so I say let them be different and also let them build their own new legendary character status. I mean COME ON people. This isn't really the 1980's anymore. That's all done and over with.

If they're gonna make a new Knight Rider for today, it has to relate to being update with today's reality. Otherwise, none of it would make sense.

I loved the movie, and thought the scanner was so much better too. Even liked the little scanners on the small robots in Graiman's house :D

As a KR fan from the get-go...

You have to realize, much has changed in 25 years. STAR TREK had one series, which failed after THREE years initially, only to come back FROM THE FANS after TWENTY years to bring on "The Next Generation", "DS9", "Voyager", and finally "Enterprise" along with TEN (including the one yet to come) movies.

Knight Rider is an AMERICAN Television Icon. The 1982 Pontiac Trans Am was an excellent Futuristic vehicle for KITT to be based on. The Ford Mustang is a very powerful car TO BEGIN WITH and the modifications (color-morphing, nano-technology for repairs, etc) was nothing less than RESPECT to the technology that has evolved in 25 years, with a bit of Sci-Fi thrown in to make Knight Rider just a bit AHEAD of the "now" in tech.

How many cars now HAVE voice-activated "whatever" and Navigation and onboard PC's vs what 1982 had?

I WANT to see a new series and think EVERYONE involved in the Feb movie did an excellent job...but now you've given us a taste of the Updated KITT...*I* for one, want to SEE MORE.

There are SO many ways that they could go with this...from the movie we've already seen that KITT is NOT ONLY staying in the USA, but going OVERSEAS. The Story in the movie could've used some work, but it was a GOOD foundation for a launch of a new series.

If you dont like it, fine. You dont have to. For those of us that ARE and will continue to be KNIGHT RIDER fans, I think it was awesome and if it goes to series, will be awesome for awhile.

We need something like this in our troubled world...too much serious crap going on that something like this couldn't give us a good diversion from.

To be honest I have to agree with a few things peter paris said because knight two thousand was equiped with turbo boost ski mode oil slick and smoke screen the knight three thousand needs all these functions from the old kitt and all the new functions.u can make up for the. Pilot by continue with the series with everything else in kitt but I disagree about him saying that knight three thousand didn't have a super pursuit mode actually it does and it transformed into it when kitt was traveling to las vegas to find mike tracer and at the very last end of the movie.but what happend to the knight two thousand the new movie didn't actually say nor did it say was the knight three thousand artifical intelligence the same one that was in the knight two thousand and was just moved from one car to the new one. Or if the a intelligence was created what happend to the old kitt. Also what happen to rc3 april curtis and. Bonnie barstow ? And what ever haPpen to the knight four thousand that was in the knight rider movie back in 1991

The new series totally lost me when it shoved a bunch of T & A down my throat in the first 10 minutes and a slutty, surfing lesbian FBI agent? Please. Horrible fucking script.

They are and have always been competitors. The reason Val Kilmer did the voice is because the guy who was going to do it had done a GM advert so ford refused to use him.

Anyway, acting was poor, specially the fight scenes. Special effects were ok except for the blue / green screening when the car was driving, that was pathetic.
Story was ok but as many loopholes as the original series, no other mustang went past, they'd seen some of the things that car could do, yet didn't think that the only mustang going past was them???

In the movie, KR2000, KITT was destoyed by Maddox because he felt that the 2000's technology was too old to be of any use to FLAG.

TRUE KR FAN FROM THE PAST may have made a mistake about Ford as a part of GM. Even I'll admit, I thought Ford was too at the time.

However, he is right about the Mustang though. I checked out the edmunds.com that he mentioned on other parts of this website and he was right. The Shelby-Cobra GT500 KR Mustang is a lot more powerful. The TV commercial said he had 550 horsepower, BUT from edmunds.com's preview, it said 540HP, and 510 lb. feet of torque, which is still close.

Because of the fact that KITT mentioned that he was a Hybrid, it probably may have added 10 more horses for KITT to be 550HP.

My opinion is the new car is cool and has a lot of potential. And I was extatic throughout the whole show because of the car.

However, as for Real World, I really didn't think the acting was that poor. It may not have been the best, but still, I thought it was just fine. I really don't care who plays the voice of KITT, but I'll agree that it does make sense to have a newer character voice for the new KITT, regardless of who it is.
