Re: KITT Stolen in Toronto

Had it been a publicity stunt, don't you think the car would have returned? What a great way to piss off people that came to see it. It wasn't even worth taking the car off the truck. E! isn't going to be reporting any story about it. They were promoting it. If they did, either way would make them l...

Re: What kind of engine does the KITT 2008 have?

Can someone translate this one for me? kittengine.jpg That is the vacuum line schematic. For that 1/4 time, figuring the car weighs 3500, it would take around 8000 HP to do so. With a stated top speed of 377mph, the car would have to defy the laws of aerodynamics and physics to attain said speed. U...

#404. You can play every Knight Rider episode with the volume turned off, and recite each characters entire dialogue (including KITT) verbatim, along with filling in all of the sound effects. :D

Re: KITT on Universal Backlot

It could be a either a Firebird or Trans Am. :shifty: I'm sorry. I got a chuckle out of that. What is there to chuckle at? The pictures don't verify it to be either model. The tail lights are definately from a Firebird. The first pics do not show a spoiler, but a later one does. The spoiler wasn't ...

Re: KITT on Universal Backlot

It is hard to tell what model it originally could be. 1. Trans Am hood along with an extra hood on the roof. 3. Can't tell if it has the vent in the fender for a TA. 2. The rims are 15" Turbocast. You can use the hub measurement as a reference. Divide the diameter by the hub measurement and mul...

Re: Gumball 2008 - With David Hasselhoff and KITT

Great pics and vids. Wonder what they did on KITT for $30K in 4 weeks? Rush job? Apparently a fuel tank replacement, as well as the intank fuel pump and fuel lines wasn't part of it. Especially after 17 years of sitting as it was. Common sence in any restoration. Being a Crossfire 305, if any engine...

After seeing the pictures that were first shown and then taken down, along with the unveiling pictures, Turbo Boost, as everyone knows it, is looking like it will be a reality rather than all CG. :D

I wonder if they will use frontal airbags underneath as well to cushion the landing

Re: Locations ?

One thing that has to be taken into account is, the lens used in filming distorts the perspective of what is real life. Objects will appear closer than they really are, i.e. the filmed picture with the Golden Gate Bridge as opposed to the Heathcliff Dr picture Joe posted. These 2 pictures should hav...
