turbo cast wheels color?

newbie here,cool site, gotta ask this though because I am not sure but I know you guys will know. What color is the finned non polished area on the 15 inch turbo cast wheels? thanks.

It's supposed to be aluminum gray...
But the factory has a clear coat on it... I had mine bead blasted, edges polished and clear powder coat (not paint) applied... now they look beautimus and are extremely easy to clean (as you will find out, they are not easy to clean stock)...

sorry but still a little confused, from the factory was the fin area painted or clear coated aluminum?

The rims came either unpainted (natural aluminum finish), painted Medium Slate Gray, or painted and anodized Goldwing Metallic.

NONE were factory clearcoated.

Any type of clearcoating at that time would more likely have been that Polyglycoat crap.

Yes, some were painted grey, other's not... & some painted gold...
The "polished fins" where just a machined surface that both had...

Here is a pic of a factory one, with part number still on it, painted gray, but not in the lug holes...
