Why does KITT just sit around while he gets forked up to be brought to the car crusher instead of just turbo boosting out of there?
On this note, I think that's what happened on Junk Wark Dog right?
Instead he proclaims: "Michael, Michael, I Nedd You".
Sometimes, I don't understand the logic behing the direction of these show.
Here's my explanation, purely from the depths of a warped mind:
If someone's life could possibly be in jeopardy, I think Kitt can act on his own. But if it is only his own existance in jeopardy I think he needs to be told what to do....permission, I guess.
KITT can do a turbo-boost even at a standstill...provided that he has enough pressure in his turbine system. That's how he got away from being burried under a ton of dirt (forgot the episode) and from the car crusher (again at a loss for the episode ).

He kinda used a lot of turbo to get back on his wheels again.
