Knight Rider - Bloopers Reels and Special Effects DVD

Post by Smoothy »

Hi.
I got a DVD from my sister for my birthday that she picked up off eBay, called Knight Rider - Bloopers Reels and Special Effects DVD. Obviously it's one that's been "burnt" by a fan so not official and haven't watched it yet but was wondering if any of you lot had heard of it and had watched it? What do you think about it?

Too short. Its like 15 min the most. You would think for something that lasted 84 eps you would get at least a few hours of bloopers. It was a little funny. My favorite part was when Michael said come get me kitt when hes exiting on a stairwell on the side of a building and Kitt says Not right now Michael I have a headache.Michael screams F@#$ you kitt. lolol

Did KITT ever swear or say anything a bit too "rude" or "human" ? :)

I would love to have that but am afriad of buying stuff on ebay and getting in trouble for buying pirated things or whatever. Sux, I know but I can't afford to take a chance right now. :(

I enjoyed the one I have, the gag reel was the most enjoyable part for me. And yes K.I.T.T. curses and narrates the behind the scenes footage and says that Universal hired Hasselhoff because he was cheap haha. The one I have also has promos for the show, crossovers of KR on other shows, interviews of Hasselhoff on other shows, slide shows, a DVD rom of the K.I.T.T. Kit, phone interviews with cast members and some cheesy Hasselhoff music videos. Seeing all the failed turbo boosts was entertaining too. Mine is a DVD-R but I think it's a copy of a licenced DVD though I'm not sure.

A question: where does this movie come from? It's not official, so how did they get all the footage?
Is it actually worth buying? And the only place where you van buy it is ebay I presume?

As far as I know, eBay is the only place you can buy it. As quoted from the DVD:

"This DVD and all its content was rendered, designed, restored, and brought to life by msKEN of ActionFX Inc. Studios. This DVD is burnt to Riatek DVDs for compatibility and quality. This DVD should have contained inserts, and a printed DVD (not a sticker label) and have a RiDATA Water Mark on the inner ring. If not, then you have a subquality bootleg version."

Apparently I have a subquality bootleg version but it still plays fine and is enjoyable. The DVD menu music is also various CD quality background music themes from the series. Hope that answers your question.

Well it's kind of like a behind the scenes documentary of bloopers where William Daniels narrates as K.I.T.T. but they do a sequence of William Daniels' previous show, St. Elsewhere where Michael ends up at that hospital. They ask the doctor who the guy is and William Daniels goes "some as#%&ole who wiped his car out" that's all I can remember offhand.

I have that bloopers show, but its on a VHS tape. it cost like $18 on ebay and its not even a DVD. They sold it in a Columbia House Box and passed it off as columbia house! My copy is very hard to watch as it is blurry and the sound is bad. The contents are ok though.

Thanks guys. I'll get to watch it as soon as I can, only problem is 1. finding the time to watch it (I'm a very busy man) and 2. my damn TV can only play PAL footage and the DVD is NTSC! It comes out in black & white and I want to watch it in colour. O well... :?
