It works on 12V, and reacts to the sound, so i've to plug it to a speaker.
I would like to put on my PC, but when i plug it on a 5.1 speaker, the signal wasn't enough important to let it works correctly.
Do you have a headphone jack on your setup? Try plugging into that. When you say you "plug it onto a 5.1 speaker, are you just clipping the wires to the speaker terminals, in parallel? (of course, with the 12V connected, too). You could try disconnecting the speaker, and just run the voicebox, as an experiment. Start with a really low volume and go from there. But I think the headphone jack may be your best bet. That's what I used for the voicebox I built. Then I bought a digital recording chip and recorded KITTs voice on it and put the voicebox and speaker on the same wires and it works fine.
You can see it here:

Yeah, that's it, but doesn't work.
