Cast: Sydney Tamiia Poitier

Sydney Tamiia Poitier stars in NBC's updated drama series "Knight Rider" as Carrie Rivai, a tough FBI agent who doesn't see eye-to-eye with Mike Traceur (Justin Bruening), son of Michael Knight.

Poitier, the youngest daughter of legendary actor Sidney Poitier, has most recently appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "Deathproof" portion of the "Grindhouse" double feature and has worked under the direction of Academy Award winners Clint Eastwood and Helen Mirren. Her feature film credits include "True Crime," "MacArthur Park," "Happy Birthday," "Nine Lives" and "Devil Cats," the latter, which was directed by her sister, Anika Poitier.

Poitier was the series lead in UPN's "Abby" and a series regular on "First Years" and "Joan of Arcadia." She also had a recurring role in "Veronica Mars" and has guest-starred in such shows as "Grey's Anatomy," "The Twilight Zone" and the NBC mini-series "Noah's Ark."

Her theatre credits include "Titus Andronicus," "Our Town" and "Hello, From Birtha."

Poitier received her B.F.A. in acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and currently resides in Los Angeles, Calif.. Her birthday is November 15th.
