i just noticed something ironic. and also funny when you think about how people always say "kitt's voice is the same guy from st elsewhere"
everyone makes it sound like st elsewhere came first...
It didnt, KR did
KR first aired 9/26/1982
and st elsewhere premiered exactly 1 month later on 10/26/1982
so in reality, william daniels was KITT before he was a Dr. on St eslewhere.

i don't think they make it sound like st. elsewhere came first. i feel they just say it that way because it is the easiest way to reference a face with the voice.
although william has a long list of credits for popular shows he appeared in, he was a guest on most of them prior to knight rider and st. elsewhere. previous to st. elsewhere, there wasn't an easy way to point to the tube say "kitt is that guy".
