I have just found out by my friend's dad that works on the railways here that a train carring hundreds of new 2005 GTOs has crashed in Blairsburg, Iowa (just outside of Cedar Rapids). Hundreds of brand new GTOs in transit from California have been damaged or destoryed. As a part of the clean up, some of the GTOs may sold at highly discounted prices, and some are being parted out because of their damage by local citizens helping with cleanup, I will let you guys now of more information. Attached are some pictures of the accident scene. -- I have high resolution pix that I may post else where so you guys can see the extent of the damage.

Yes it does kind of suck for them especially since the GTO isn't really selling that well. Maybe it's paypack for discontinuing the Firebird.
