Question about Kitts engine?
A few posts ago, someone was talking about inconsistancies. Well, I was just curious. Please correct me if I am wrong, but KITT is supposed to have a type of turbine engine right? Well, in the episode "Inside out" when they are about to jump between the ramps, KITT says "with the aid of my boosters I can do this on 4 cylinders" Maybe just a mistake? Not sure. Any suggestions?

In reply to Spyhunter, I do realise what KITT was stating, what I am saying is that he has a turbine engine, as opposed to a piston engine, so how could that statement work? I have also spent a lot of my life around aviation, so I know turbines don't have cylinders, that's why I think it is an inconsistancy.

...I think that was the air cleaner cover. But you're right in principle. Turbines also don't sound like big V8s on takeoff, but KITT does most of the time, until he reaches higher speeds. Then the "whine" of the turbine takes over more.
I think it depends on whether you're talking about a practical engine for real life, or the engine of the KR universe, where you can fit both a Viper V10 and a Huey sized turbine engine in a 3 square foot box.
