Just a quick question... in the episode 'Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death', when KITT turbo boosts the Dodge charger, what is the rod that falls from his underside mid-jump? < see screenshot >

Looks a lot like doctored footage, or just something loose that fell out.
What's at the bottom-centre? Looks like some "doll" shadow!

The outer frame of the fender vent also looks like its plastic as opposed to metal like the rest of the car. Weird.

It's probably part of the wooden debris that was yanked out of the ramp when KITT jumped off. It looks like wood and not metal.
If you look closer at the bowling ball caps, you can see the engraved Pontiac logo in the center (blacked out of course).
As Lost Knight pointed out, the front fender vent looks weird. The outer edge of it is not supposed to look like that, flat black colored. Makes me wonder if the 1/18 ERTL diecast's vent was modeled after that one since it comes with a flat finish.

I agree with Kitt_Rulz.
It looks like some debris from the ramp.
KITT has to watch how and where he Turbo-boosts. Now he's damaging Universal Studio equipment. Sigh.
If you don't make a difference, you are not the Knight Rider.
