Knight Rider Movie Music

Post by Keon2005 » Sun Jan 23, 2005 8:13 pm

Who would you like to compose the music for the possible Knight Rider Movie, Stu Phillips, Don Peake, or would you like to see the two of them team up?

Hmmm. Can lightning strike the same spot twice? I say go with Don Peake. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd say if not the orginals then Basil Poledouris (Robocop, Starship Troopers) or Jan Hammer (Miami Vice, Knight Rider 2000).

Well, knowing luck, there's no way that the studio would agree on music from Don Peake because of the fact that seeing that he worked on "Knight Rider" in the 80s, they would think that his music for "Knight Rider" would reflect on the 1980s version of "Knight Rider", not the current "Knight Rider".

I do think that Don Peake should do it. But if the odds were possible, I'd like to see B.T. do it. B.T. is known for his techno music (including the hit "Never Gonna Come Back Down"). He's also done the score for various films (including "Under Suspicion" and "The Fast and the Furious"). I actually own a copy of both films as mentioned before. And the scores he did for both films were cool in my opinion.

Another idea, is a group collaberation. The following group did the music for the film "Lola Rennt" (or the American title, "Run Lola Run"): Reinhold Heil, Johnny Klimek and Tom Tykwer. The score for that film was pretty cool too.

Of course, there's also other suggestions that aren't really in film, but could probably do a good score, like The Dust Brothers (who did the score for "Fight Club"), The Chemical Brothers, DJ Rap and Moby. Of course, I'd like to see Don Peake and Moby hook up together and see what the score would be like.
