Hi all,

As you all know, David recently filmed a commercial over here in London,
he gave this quick interview as he was here.

Knight Rider or Baywatch?
Knight Rider was the one that set the pace, wherever i go its ten to one that people bring it up. people like Baywatch, people love Knight Rider.
Are you really doing a movie version?
I'm working on it. We've taken it to a studio that, predictably, wants to change everything. I believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't want it to be a joke like Starsky & Hutch. i think Knight Rider deserves a shot at something serious. Michael Knight will take over the foundation and become Edward Mulhars character, Devon, as Edward has passed away. Michaels son will do the crazy stunts with KITT.
Will you appear in it?
Yes-but i will still play Michael Knight. I told them i was not interested in doing a cameo and making it into a farce.
Who'll play KITT?
I'd like it to be the old voice, Wiliam Daniels. He was very much responsible for the success of the show. It had 3 components: heart, humour & action. Michael was the heart, the humour was KITT, the action was the stunts.

The rest is not relevant, but you have the movie news here from the horses mouth.

Hi,

No problem, we are all excited about the new movie and want news on the progress. It was published in a London only newspaper.
I thought it ws very informative.

Hmmm, I think I'd switch that around. I think Kitt was the heart and Michael was the humor.

Hard to say who the mother was...
I vote for the "nit-wit lady" in Knight of the Phoenix...
She was so goofy, that she couldn't even find her own son (Buddy)in the backseat of K.I.T.T. ...
Seriously --- if Buddy was in the backseat on the ride over to the demolition derby...and she didn't see him pass her as he got out of the car, doesn't it make sense to look in the backseat where she last saw him?
That lady was a ditz!!!

Your welcome. I was also wondering who the mother of Michaels son would be. What do you guys think ? Bonnie???
That plot would work, Devon died, Michael and Bonnie naturally get together finally. I hope they speed up the movie a bit, at least to start casting,

This just reiterates what I reported on this board the last time that I spoke with David. He said that they were having trouble drafting a good script because Revolution Studios wanted to completely revamp Knight Rider into something totally different and David has had his own ideas for years about what a Knight Rider movie should be like. Last I heard, Revolution Studios was willing to go David's route somewhat but I don't think all of the details and negotiations had been completed yet. David said that if Revolution Studios doesn't accept the job, he'll keep taking it from studio to studio until he finds someone who will make it. He's definitely committed to doing this movie, it's just a matter of playing the Hollywood politics until you get what you want.
