Knight Rider 1/18 Models...
They were supposed to come out, and what?
I collect 1/18 models, so I would be more than happy to get my hands on a 1/18 KITT or KARR.
If someone has good model customizing/modifying/tuning they could use a 1/18 TA (not sure if exists) kit or the Sun Star Camaro to make one.

there is no model of the 3rd gen firebird/TA in 1/18 scale or plans to do so in the near future, the only 3rd gen F body is the one from sunstar, id LOVE to see them retool that into a firebird in both stock TA and KITT. but as more and more TV and Movie cars come out in both plastic kits and 1/18 scale diecast im sure one will come out soon, im hopin it will be from ERTl http://www.ertltoys.com they still own the rights to the Knight Rider name and the KITT name

I've been keeping tabs on Ertl and they have quite a few high profile movie cars in the pipeline, specifically the "Deathmobile" from Animal House, "Ecto-1" from Ghostbusters, and the "Family Truckster" from Vacation. If I hear anything, I'll be sure to let everyone know. I'm almost hoping that Sun Star tackles KITT. I don't know if anyone here has seen them, but they've done the DeLorean from both Part I and II of Back to the Future and the detail is AMAZING!!

I didn't know sun star did two 1:18 BTTF Delorean. The one I have has got the hover-mode wheels that flip underneath the car (from BTTF2). When did BTTF1 car come out.
Btw, they did do an excellent job on the stainless steel paint job. Overall detailing is very nice.

Yeah, I have that too, they did a great job!! But mine got broke at a party I held, and one of the wing mirrors broke off and one of the black things at the back are chipped.
Still looks good on my shelf at the right angle.

Ouch! Just get some glue for plastic down at your local model shop. I clipped the back of my Delorean and those black bits underneath the rear bumper came off. The plastic glue (a "poly-whats its name" cement") does the trick on those sort of parts.

I'm not sure on the exact release date of the BTTF Pt. I model, but it was about 3 or 4 months ago, I think. It's basically the same as Pt. 2, but the wheels don't fold, there is no Mr. Fusion on the back, and it comes with the pole used to transfer the 1.21 jigawatts of electricity into the flux capacitor. Wow, I need to get a life.

Sarfraz,
I don't know if it means anything or not, but the picture looks strangely similar to the picture of the 1/25 plastic model kit made by AMT/Ertl. It can be viewed at: http://www.diecastexpress.com/shopping/ ... atID=10462

That picture did come from the 2002 AMT/ERTL model kit reissue. The manufacturer probably doesn't have a prototype car ready yet for picture taking purposes. Let's just all hope that the 1/18 scale KITT car does come into fruition in the near future...it will surely be a worthwhile addition to anybody's KR collection no matter what the scale.

Actually, this reminds me of my dream I had a while back about a modernized KITT Trans-Am. You can read about the dream at the post, here: http://knightrideronline.com/phpbb/view ... highlight=

I found a 1/18 model of both Kitt and Karr. Sadly I didn't have 40 dollers(It was a deal it was for BOTH of them!) When I went back *sniff* I saw some guy buy it right when I got there-_- he was grinning like a fool. I swear this world doen't want me to have one of at LEAST kitt....

I just went to that link, and I was about to post a reply about a recurring KR based dreamneps wrote: Yea, the link worked for me too, but it has half a variable

that I tend to have every now and then, only to find that it was a locked archive thread.
So instead of replying, I closed the browser tab, and came back to this thread . . .

Actually, the 1/18 models would be useful to anyone doing a "Knight Rider" fan film. I mean, "Knight Rider" did use models for some stunts. A 1/18 scale model of KITT would be useful to fans making fan films, because that means that they can do the Turbo Boosting and other wacky stunts just using the models and not risk damaging their KITT replica.

Well I believe it was linked just to show that she had a dream like that. The topic took place over a year ago, so it's in archive ville. If your reply moves you enough, feel free to open a new topic about it!DJGM wrote:I just went to that link, and I was about to post a reply about a recurring KR based dream
