Hard to believe that was one of Glen Larson's inspirations for kitt.But it did have the surveilence capabilities and instruments for detecting lies suchj as in merchants of death and knight rider 2000.It was black with a red scanner I think or that was the police siren.It also had a good jet engine noise.

Josch,
Thanks for sharing that great clip, it brings back memories of when I first saw
that episode originally.
It also reminded me of the Knight Rider Car Shows the KOTWC & I did at Saugus Speedway with our last show
having the great honor to meet Glen Larson in person whwer so many great TV shows were filmed.
