OMG is right lol but only 2400 yen? That's like $25 CAD, I think the guy posted the wrong price in his comments. Did you see the rims?! This is so sweet, I need a couple of these!

i just bought this and it is awesome!! the wheels are out of production so i just used regular white non spoked disch rims, and the car looks bloody awesome!! i used my 1/10 kawada sv-10 car with a brusless motor, and i am gonna wire the front and rear lights, even without lights, with the scanner on and steering sual rate set to almost maximum, the car drives real awesome, and cant beat the feeling of looking at that scanner at night !

I found a few on
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10098466" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and
http://banzaihobby.com/index.php?main_p ... ts_id=6280" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but this is a 4th season body that is horridly out of proportion and not nearly as nice as the prototype... or is that what happen? AOSHIMA cut costs and left it as a simplified piece of junk?
What people think they are getting:
What they are actually getting:
Very disappointing.

.
The scanner LEDs could use a little work...
The nose looks really tall too. Not as slim and narrow enough on the front edge as the prototype.
Also notice at this angle you can't even see the scanner LEDs.

They are mounted too low in the frame of the car to be seen at this respectable angle.

Its a shame because the prototype looks amazing except for the wheels, but hey its an RC car. Hopefully I'm wrong and this version just hasn't been released yet...

i bought it from pro shop futaba in japan, their email is
shop@pro-s-futaba.co.jp
keep in mind this item is getting rare now. imagine, the wheels are no longer in stock and the manufacturer has no plans to make them! so i quickly bought the scanner and the body. the one i bought is the new version, while it isnt as detailed as the hitari KITT, still is great, sepecially when you are driving it at night. i will upload some pictures once my front and back lights are wired ready. it looks like the picture posted above.
i would say having this car is better than no KITT !

That would be easy to do voltage wise as red, yellow, orange and green run off the same voltage. For blue, white or UV LEDs the voltage requirements would be slightly higher. A KARR would look awesome!

i just wired the front LEDs, 6 total. now just waiting to get the REds, hopefully tonight i can get them done, then post pics by tommorow. already with the light buckets, the car looks much better. i love how big this body looks like on my 1/10, reminds me of the mid 80's of a "Nite Rider" car that i wanted but my dad wouldnt buy it for me. it was huge almost as big as a 1/10, but wanst full function, it would go forward and then reverse and turn only. This time with a 1/10, i can drive this car very prcisely with full suspension and proportional steering and throttle with reverse.
