One of these popped up on ebay a year ago, I lost the auction by a 100 bucks and regret to this day not moving funds around to make it mine. It was actually made by Pontiac. You could order one when you bought an 82 or 82 firebird from special dealers.
Keep an eye on ebay the pop up from time to time.

Made by Pontiac!!!!!
Why they didnt make a KITT replica like this??? they stoped making the actual car because people got crazy and doing crazy things.
but making this KITT toy would have been something

David Hasselhoffs version is different then the one I showed. His is actually based on a Firebird funny car. They were called Prudhomme go-karts. Those can be found pretty easily, they were made by a company from 83-88 called Bird Automotive. In fact here is a website about one...
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2976242" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and here is a website where you can order one http://aero_a.en.china.cn/selling-leads/detail,1001394814,Indonesia-Don-Prudhomme-Go-Kart.html#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The one made by Pontiac is the super rare one that's actually based on a 3rd gen rather then a funny car. I shouldn't say it was made by Pontiac. I'm sorry it was contracted to be made by Pontiac, the company that made them was F.W. and Associates.
