What is up with Kitt's doors, sometimes his doors open normal and sometimes they open like a lamborghini. Is there something I'm missing as to why they keep changing?

Hi,
What is up with Kitt's doors, sometimes his doors open normal and sometimes they open like a lamborghini. Is there something I'm missing as to why they keep changing?

The Lambo Doors are for when KITT is in Attack Mode.

Okay, I did miss that... I kinda thought it had something to do with attack mode but I could have sworn I saw the lambo doors on normal kitt...

Wasn't there an episode when Sarah (I think) was just getting out of KITT in attack mode and KITT said the doors will open normally to provide cover for gunfire? I don't remember which episode, but someone else might...Pct1theory wrote:The Lambo Doors are for when KITT is in Attack Mode.

I might be wrong but I believe the kind of doors can open both ways if I remember correctly... There's a company in California that makes them if I'm remember.. Hmmm... Ahh, I found it, it was a post made my msken that mentioned it being a company called Vertical Doors Inc.

It's implied the doors open both ways in either mode, they never showed it though. Much like the elusive air brake.

There was a episode when Mike got posioned and towards the end KITT told Sarah that the doors will open outward for protection, and in the ealier parts of the episode the doors opened upward.

What if KITT was stuck in a small place like in a truck where the doors couldnt open so mike would ne be able to get in easily.
Or if there was gunfire outside and KITT parked up right near the door so mike can dive in. If you think about it it can be pretty useful, chucking people out of a car on the motorway ect. Even if they implemented it for style it seem somewhat useful to me.
Opening normally is the casual look
