Wow! it's nice to see someone actually investigated my "sight". I posted the message about seeing this white beetle in some eps. I have a great time not only watching the ep thats out, but looking for this beetle.
Yea, Herbie Vs KITT. this would be a great ep!!!! Since both cars were on the good end of things, thay can have them both going after the bad guys. Sounds like a fan fick.

That was a great and funny read. I especially liked "The Great Poobah"'s lenghly telling of what would happen. Although, I would have to say that the ending needed to be fixed. Sure, Herbie's tyre would go flying under KITT and his bumper would flex outwards to gain those needed inches. But, let's face it. KITT's speed loss would cause Michael to reach for Silly Pop-Out mode to regain the speed, causing KITT's nose to extend outwards, thus undoing whatever reach Herbie's bumper would give. Results: Tie race.

Besides, here's how I think it would go down...

KITT and Michael are detoured by a simple trap and allow Garthe (minus the tell-tale signs) and the rebuilt, one-tone KARR to enter the race. At the starting line, (and in front of a ton of witnesses) KARR takes the early lead. Seconds later, KARR pulls a one-eighty and still keeps the lead by driving in reverse at eighty MPH. With Herbie and half the competition in range, KARR fires a sweeping laser shot and turns the follower's into a flaming ball of wreckage. One of Herbie's tyres escapes through the wall of fire, but everything else is melted to dust. Garthe and KARR drive away and make their escape while Michael and KITT are thrown in jail for multiple counts of murder.

Now, why couldn't they spell KARR's name right???

BTW: My combat engine says that the only thing in the known universe that can defeat KITT hands down in Herbie. Just thought I'd add that for the fiftieth time.

I thought I would share this. The chick that playes Melissa (Elyssa Davalos) in "Herbie Goes Bananas" was a guest on Knight Rider in the episode "Blind Spot" as Julie the blind women. She's mostly known for her role as Nikki Carpenter on MacGyver.

Yep that's Col O'Neil on my avitar. I see your a fan too. I'm also into Stargate SG - 1, I grew up on MacGyver and yes I love Richard Dean Anderson too

Spotted Herbie in todays Sci-Fi episode, with a little continuity error. When the guy gets shot in the parking lot, he walks right next to a Herbie type car. Then when the bad guy is driving away in the very next cut, he blows by the exact Herbie type car. Damn, they must really be short on cars.

It wasn't just then, it was in LOTS of shots. I recorded the ep and soon I'l put it on PC and maybe do a playbu play of this littel white car that is stalking our poor Kitt.

in another scene you see the porsche pass herbie at great speed and then in the next scene herbie is on his ass again, lol either a continuity error, or herbie didnt like getting dusted by a porsche

Hey, I dunno if you guys covered this, but did anybody notice the same herbie as in "Blind spot"? He was in a parking lot *at least that's what i thought it was* You only saw the back of it, but i saw that same blue stripe! That little bug is everywhere! hehe.

The Herbie is also in "Knight in Disgrace". When new guy is applying for the job(a cop who is working undercover while Micheal is "suspended") is driving KITT, you see the Beetle in the background.

Actually 4 times:

- In front of KITT in the parking lot shooting....
- on the road during the ensuing chase
- parked at the "Paine" Memorial Hospital Parking lot
- going the other way when MK is on his way to the junkyard after the girl was kidnapped.
