Did anyone here see the little Knight Rider TV Series ad on NBC while watching the Olympics?

It was short and sweet.

Hey Neil, I watched the opening ceremonies and they were spectacular, but I somehow missed this commercial. Thanx for posting it. Is it me, or does Val Kilmer's voice seem a little bit more "electronic" in this?

I think I can answer your question.It does sound a little more electronic,and a little different from the other commercials.

Yeah,

I agree, they've definitely added some vocal effects to Val Kilmer's voice in this advert, and I have to say, it really suits the character.

Love the new more computerised Kilmer, he sounds much more Kitt now!

Hey did anyone notice that at the end of the vid there was SFX that were just like when Robocop pulls his gun from his leg from the movie?

That certainly sounds like him this time and better with some effects added to his voice. Yeah that did sound like the that sound effect from what I remember. Hopefully we get a little bit longer clip with additional post-processed KITTmer dialog soon.

That thumbs up emoticon is certainly getting used for all its worth here.

I'm glad they added reverb and robotic elements to the voice. I hope they fix the real world effects when we see the show. I hated that distance didn't matter and we still would here Kilmer's voice at the same volume not sounding like it was coming from the car (KI3T). I hope you guys get what I'm saying here.
The original KITT voice sounded like it came from a speaker in the car...real! I want that element back because it make it seem more real to me.

They do,sort of...KR '08 seems to be a mix of the original KR,Transformers,Viper,Fast and the Furious,and a little bit of Batman(KI3T Cave,anyone?).Although the show seems good,I wish there was some originality added to it.

i actually saw one yesterday during the olypics that was a little different, at the end kitt speaks and says "kitt happens" other then that it was the same as the other ones.

Aw nuts! You’d never believe it! I read your post and got up to see if I caught it, just as I hit stop on the old VCR it aired. It was about 9:37 my time and during beach volleyball, if that helps you neps, but I'm guessing each time zone may be different.
It had the same footage we’ve seen but said Kitt Happens at the end.

NYC's prime time Olympics coverage didn't have beach volleyball. Following these Olympics really has been a fickle beast.

Over here in the UK we've 'interactive coverage' so we can choose which event we want to watch, no subscription either, the joys of 'digital freeview'

anyway, forget the olympics, on a KR theme im glad to see that the new MK is more physical than his father, there seems to be a lot more fight choreography in the new incarnation....
