A look at the 4x4 KITT
http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/storie ... -mode.html
Just found, reading now. Not much new learned, but the rendering is kind of neat, even though it doesn't appear to be accurate to the final form.

Re: A look at the 4x4 KITT
The genesis of the 4x4 mode is certainly interesting. The fact that it was placed into the story for a practical purpose is also good to know, since it would have been very easy to call it a marketing ploy given that the 2009 F-150 is a new generation of vehicle.
It's a shame that production practicalities got in the way though, because customizing the pickup truck to give it more in common with the Shelby would have made the transformation process that much more believable, and whilst I think it's cool as hell, I'm not entirely sold on it when it comes to the physics involved.

Welcome aboard the Knight 2000.
Thank you. What's all this, it looks like Darth Vader's bathroom?

I can't help but to think "Attack Beast reincarnated".
But yeah, that would be kinda neat.
I hope they do a Taurus version too (ok, I'm biased since I won a Taurus. LOL!)

For the scene that his was talking about in the link provided, I would have rather seen the convertable version drive by.
I know it would be a snag from the Viper series, but I liked how it went into 4x4 mode much better than changing into a truck.

i never thought of it that way, i like that, Attack Beast reincarnated, that'd be cool if he transformed into an Expedition, Dante reincarnated, i just realized, the new KITT is kinda like Domino meets the original KITT

Re: A look at the 4x4 KITT
How much does it weigh? I did a little searching and I didn't really find anything on the weight. I know the car weighs somewhere around 3,800 pounds and going from last year's specs it looks like the difference is about a half ton/1,000 pounds but it's a new generation of their truck line so that might not be right or even close.
EDIT: Then I find this.
http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks. ... -150-3.htm
If that's accurate then it really depends on which model they're using of the F-150. Looks like one of the extended cabs... But I'm not much of a car (or truck in this case) so I dunno for sure which one it is.

The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

Re: A look at the 4x4 KITT
I just watched the 1 minute preview and replayed the truck scene several times, looks to be an extended cab short box F-150.
