Access Hollywood is a syndicated show; it may be on different channels in different cities. Clip on its way...

And thanks Scott as well... I'll do the standard quicktime upload once it airs so we'll have an archive of it.

I'll probably get some back lash but what hell.....I think the car looks pretty good in the video. When it's driving towards us you get a good look and it doesn't look all to bad. When the movie comes out we all can have are final judgments on it.

Well I could probably get used to the mustang as the new kitt. But those wheels suck big time.

Ouch, he's lucky he doesn't need surgery. Knee problems can be a *****.
Anyway, I'm going to check out the old Jessica Alba interview from back when she was IMO, hot or a lot better than she became later after losing too much weight.

well I just watched that clip, that kind of illustrates my point about seeing the Shelby in motion, somehow it doesn't look as boxy while actually moving.
![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)
well, we're going to see if it works in the actual show.

Thanks Mike,
You know, say what you will about the NBC pilot, but for Justin to be back on the set less than a week later wearing a massive immobilising knee brace so that he could film whatever scenes were possible is pure and utter dedication.
Matt
P.S. I absolutely loved the card. "If you're considering hand to hand combat, may I make another suggestion?" was a perfect line that really needs to be used in either an episode, should the pilot launch a series, or a satirical take on the injury starring Justin and Will at an event of some sort.
Welcome aboard the Knight 2000.
Thank you. What's all this, it looks like Darth Vader's bathroom?

Now thats what you call dedication. There seems to be a great team spirit on the set and Justin is a tough nut!!! You now can't blame for doing his best for KR. Mojo respect.
From the little that we saw, the car looks really really cool. I'm looking forward to this more now.

Looks like the shows going to be quite a lot darker - the fighting seemed far more aggressive and dirty than in the original... + there was a gun

Ouch, that looks bad. I hope Justin gets well soon.
He has the right spirit for the show.
And the new KITT seemed pretty cool in this short clip, especially when he's moving. Maybe it wasn't such a bad choice to use a Mustang.
I'm looking forward to the pilot, it has lots of potential and I think I can live with the new KITT.

There really was great comraderie on the set, they all hope it's picked up so they can work together again. And Justin really is a trooper, giving it his all.

Hey Shapeshifter, I really do believe the show will get picked up, mainly because of the timing. Think about it, due to the strike, many of the regular scheduled shows won't be airing at the time in Feb., giving KR a great chance at picking up all the leftover viewers that normally would be watching something else, plus all the KR fans that I KNOW will be watching!

Confidence is high that the show will be picked up, but no decision will be made until the strike is settled. Of course, it still has to air, and get decent ratings, but as as scottab21 said, the competition will be slim. The biggest problem will be marketing a show on a network that no one is watching.
As far a filming, they have another three days to shoot, due to Justin's injury, commencing on the 14th of January.
In the Time magazine article this week, they infer that the show going to series is a foregone conclusion. I don't know if that was a mistake or they know something I don't.

So are they going back to the original idea of only using the scanner when KITT is driving himself or something? It's kinda disappointing that during what looks like a big action scene the scanner is dark.

Kind of hard to see it during the day and what was shown didn't exactly give a good angle to see it. Unless there's more in the new teaser which I haven't seen and maybe you have.
EDIT: Okay just watched it again and yeah the angle should have shown the scanner though maybe is the lighting or the fact that it's not placed the same way, making it harder to see? Or they did, in the "love" of the whole morphing thing did make it so it only shows up in "Attack Mode".

It could also be lit via CGI for certain shots. I know there is a real working scanner, but CGI might be needed for shots where action is sped up and the scanner speed might be affected, as in the original series. Or, maybe lighting is an issue?

I kind of figured they did a lot of post production on the scanner in the original as well. It might just be a thing fixed in post or it could be lighting. Hopefully it isn't something exclusive to "Attack Mode".... I hate saying that....

Ouch! That looks a lot worse than I had thought when I first read about it. I agree, he is really determined and committed to the movie. The next month and a half just wont go by quick enough so we can see it

I'm glad somebody mentioned the scanner, do you guys remember that one of the original complaints about the Shelby Mustang being used was the location of the scanner? In the original KITT, with the sloped down nose, you would be able to see the scanner most of the time, if you're seeing the front of the car at all. With the scanner inside that air scoop or whatever it's called, you basically only see it if you're looking almost directly at the front of the car. Which is a big shame, because the scanner is quintessential KITT, you know what I mean?
