2010 Firebird or GTO?
Apparently some of us here aren't the only ones curious if Pontiac will make the Firebird or GTO off of the new Camero's Zeta platform. Car and Driver Magazine has been flooded with people asking the same question. Here's the article which sort of addresses the issue. Just to let you know, it's kind of long.

Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"
(Hopson said, becomes making a new muscle car unique enough to appease Lutz and the market at large without being too unique for those Bud-guzzlin’, mullet-draped traditionalists who see it as their mission in life to ensure any future screaming chicken returns as “Pontiac’s Camaro.”)
Now that's an insult and a half, I sure hope not GTO, I really liked the look of those I guess photoshopped Firebird T/A photos.

I like GTOs, and we currently have the latest one. (Yeah yeah yeah, I know a bunch of you don't like it but I recommend taking one for a drive, it's a blast).
But Camaro and Firebird have always shared body-types, if they take that body, it should be a Firebird. Besides, if they make it a Firebird, it gives still more options for the Knight Rider movie!:D

Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

My sentiments exactly. I really like the Firebid concept and would love to see it go into production.cloudkitt wrote:But Camaro and Firebird have always shared body-types, if they take that body, it should be a Firebird. I also like GTOs. I think the newest GTOs were very under-rated because they didn't have any of the muscle car looks of the old GTOs. I think they are slick looking sleeper cars. Maybe I should trade my Caddy off for one.
It's actually the chasis that's the same on past Camaros and Firebirds with some differences in the body. I hope that GM doesn't abandon the Firebird name for GTO. They should bring back the Firebird with the Camaro (maybe a year later) and the new KITT should be a Firebird again.
One man did make a difference.
