WOW! Whoever did that did a great job on it! I've never seen an SPM KITT model before. I do model kits as well and I can imagine that took some doing to do that. Great find!

Its good to know that I am not the only building the spm kitt!....those parts are not that easy to craft perfectly!....all though that car has a two tv dash and I build all one tv dashes for all my 3/4 th season kitts!...but I gotta hand it to the dude that did that car the rear end came out looking more accurate than mine!....and the paint job is so nice and clean!

Thats excellent, who's the owner? Apart from white writing on tyres & two TV dash as shelton said that appears perfect.

no, I don't think so! For me, it looks like an 1/25th AMT/ERTL Plastic kit, which is modified ;)

btw: I hope, there will be a SPM KITT from ERTL in 1/18

edit:
oh, i just forgot to say hi, I'm new to this board and I'm a Knight Rider fan too!

bye

Looks Like Ertl to me

Post by corlando52 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 10:55 pm

I may be wrong, but this looks like a modified Ertl 1/18th to me.

NOPE!...the pillars are too small for it to be a 1/18 scale!....plus you would have to very good with a dremel to cut the nose off without hacking the hood section!....and cut the nose across perfectly too!....when I was building my first spm kitt back late 95' ,I had to build the nose from 3 components and it was not so easy and then I managed to build the split nose down to 2 components and now its eassier for me to build the cars better then from 10 yrs ago!...but it still takes (2) kitt models to build one spm kitt no matter what!Image

Hi, Shelton!

Hey, it's me! I still have the great pictures you sent me of your custom KITTs! I thought the white on the tires and the interior made this SPM look like the Ertl 1/18th. But if you say No, then I would defer to the master.

Take care,
Chris
