All I can say is it was very good replica of a Trans AM, it even had the correct wheels/tyres..... but it was still just a standard Trans AM with a red sticker. No KITT interior, just bare black seating and standard dash.

I had that when I was a kid. It was one of my fave kitt toys to muck about with, since I didn't get the talking Kenner KITT car.

...me too :D . Atleast the 1/24 had the t-bar. The 1/10 ERTL car was just a hard top. The 1/24 also had Goodyear rubber tyres!

Hey Josch, check out this ebay auction. It has a picture of the Firebird diecast out of the box that is the same model as what you are looking for. Just remove the stickers from the side and hood and slap on a red scanner sticker up front and you have your diecast. :)

I think I read about this particular car once before and heard that it was a Camaro cheaply retrofitted to resemble our KITT... painted black and given a red sticker for the scanner.

I've seen those custom parts before...in ebay Germany. It's strange that no one in the US or elsewhere is offering it for sale. It looks pretty darn good too.

shipping and import fees would kill the desire to want to buy it for those on a tight budget!.....If I could afford to get those over here ,it would save me a lot of work on modding all my Knight Industries models onti 3/4th season!.....ohh well 35 cars and two more to go!
