Shelton, be careful what KIFT you have. Be sure they have a grey and not blue background on the box because Dave Knight told me the reissue (blue background) has the incorrect wheels! He snagged me an original issue (grey background) KIFT on eBay recent! :) Also you'll want to be sure to paint the whole thing good as it's molded in transluscent red plastic.

Many thanks to Dave Knight for my '57 Chevy model. :) I havent' started it yet. Due to all the problems I been having lately, I STILL haven't finished my Smokey and the Bandit model! Though I'm gaining. I'm now on Phase 3 of the Engine (well, I have to cut those parts off the tree and paint them yet).

And nope, the '57 Chevy is not going to be a KITT. :)

I have 3 AMT/Ertl Reissue KITTs, one will be a KARR (Black Silver), another KITT and I'm not sure I think the other might be a KARR but in all black. Depends on how much I might need from the 3rd KITT to cover mistakes made in the 1st two. Then again, after seeing Knight Modelman's Junkyard Dog KITT, I'm almost tempted to do one of those instead. ;)

Hi everyone - thanks for the posting HONDA SIR :D I've just added a Ski Mode KITT as well. I'm hoping to get a convertable KITT and SP KITT finished soon. I'm also on the prowl for some tiny stick-on stars to do a Slammin' Sammy version.

I also have a KIFT which (hopefully) will have a working scanner fitted.
Finally, I'm looking at making a KITT/KARR diorama (news to follow on that).
Speak to you all again real soon

I remember building a ski rack for a remote control kitt that would allow kitt to racing on two wheels! and for the life of me I cannot find it now ,but I may build another one when the weather clears up and I can go out racing my R/C kitt again!

The auctions are over, here are the winning bid prices:

Custom KITT: $70.40

KARR: $197.13

Junkyard Dog KITT: $151.50

Chevy KITT: $60.23

Ski-Mode KITT: $38.33

They all add up to a grand total of....approx. US$517.59!! Not bad! Knight modelman, you sure know how to make some serious money. :D

Note: All the models except the ski-mode KITT were snapped up by the same bidder (herzibebi). Man...what a fan...and a rich one at that.

EDIT: Whoops, the ski-mode KITT still has a day left before auction's end. I spoke too soon, herzibebi may yet bag it and have a grand slam winning.

Great work. I like the fact Kitt's displayed on the two right wheels in action mode. Is there a miniature gallery on this site? If not there should be. Any body know if Autoart is planning a Kitt release? they made a really great two version set of Lotus esprits from the Bond film TSWLM. I've got a frankiln mint aston martin DB5 and its really a nice piece. I think Kitt deserves the royal miniature treatment as well.
