i'm looking for information regarding the actual location of the Wilton estate in the series.
After a long (and a most frustrating) search over the internet I have been unable to locate this piece on info.
Can anyone here help me please?

Hey if you have the First Season DVD set look at the Pilot episode with commentary. I think Glen A. Larson states the location of it when you see Michael Long being brought in by helicopter.

I apologize for my ignorance - I am a true KR Fan - However, is the Wilton estate an actual estate that belongs to someone or was it just created fictiously for the show?
I listened to the commentary on the DVD set but I usually listen off and on sometimes without really paying attention...

The Wilton Estate is an actual Mansion owned by someone. A few moths back someone put a link of the aerial view of the mansion, there is a very long road that leads to the mansion!

Well, I don't know, but I think it's in California. That's where KITT and KARR are registered.
If you don't make a difference, you are not the Knight Rider.
