Greetings everyone! I'm new and I know someone else has seen this..
In KR2000, when they show the box of KITT bits (supposedly the stuff they couldn't sell when they dismantled KITT) there's a ROUND steering wheel sitting in there instead of the uber-cool (__) wheel I know and love?? Just wondering

there were quite a few things about kr2000 that annoyed me as they seemed rushed. everything to do with the original car for one thing (and the fact it simply wasn't there!) like that box of "props" and the awful hack job they did of the voice modulator used in the chevy. why on earth they couldn't have shown the proper wheel and dash in that box, or made up the original vox box... or even have had the trans am in the beginning of the movie even before the chevy is beyond me!! :S

That was probably the original sound stage prop dashboard from the series that was used for close-ups.

I tend to think that Knight Industries saved the original Trans-Am parts when they were disassembling the car to create KITT and put those parts in storage, seeing that the first couple of seasons, KITT was refered to as a Trans-Am. And when it came for KITT to being recalled, not only did they pull out the parts from KITT after he was disassembled, but the original parts box as well.

Hmmmm. if you look closely, you'll notice that KITT does have the round steering wheel. Well... the stunt cars do. Maybe Knight Industries scrapped the stunt cars as well

Or it could have been from Michael Long's ordinary Trans Am assuming FLAG confiscated the car. Not likely I know, but just another option.
