it's a 2005 dodge charger...
i know the general lee was a dodge charger, but that's no reason the new KITT couldn't be a dodge as well, or is it?
with a custom nose, a rear wing and painted black i think this car would look very good.
what do you think???

Hot Damn!
All the chatter I have heard in the past said the new Charger was
horrible looking.
Its the other way around. That is one sweet looking car. It does
have the possibilities of being used for a new KITT. Good find.
The bodies shape reminds me of the Knight 4000.

Nice one. But I still think that the original Kitt is the best.

I don't think they'd go for it not only because the Charger is K.I.T.T.'s former television series rival, but more for the fact that it looks too similar to the Knight 4000. It has a similar overall shape being long, sleek, and red.

Dude, At least it weould be easier for the passengers to enter/exit. And KITT can smack more people with the extra doors.

Ok this an idea I have been developing for sometime so why not now... I've been looking for a car that would have the samekind of personality of Trans Ams and not so much of these raindrop-style that most of the modern cars are. Not so much curves you know.
I'm after more "angular" style but still slim and modern look. One that I have found quite pleasent is suprisingly a 2004 Volvo YCC Concept car. Images can be found at
Serious Wheels website.
Here is my mock-up of one of the images. Quite menacing don't you think? It could easily make a K.A.R.R. also

I agree, Do the original 82 transam or make a 2000-2002 transam, (I have seen a few on here that the members made and they were kickass" maybe if you move from pontiac make it a black corvette just to show it as a differant time period. But to me KITT will always be a transam with popup headlights. Fixed headlights need not apply.

Wow, I think that would be a nice base to work from. But as people have mentioned Dodge Charger belongs to another francise, not that I ever see the Duke boys driving around in this. Perhaps there will be something out of Dodge's sister companies that are similiar in styling, I know Chrysler redesigned their line, and everything looks hot but a bit too boxy.
The car at top still screams two door to me, those hidden suicide doors are pretty common now a days, so much so that if Pontiac had a redesigned Trans Am out now, it would probably have them as well.

y not just use a highly customed pontiac GTO? equipped with a very original KR nose design with the scanner and there could be black outs on the head and tail lights. Also they could install t tops and kitt`s spoiler with the bowling ball hobcaps and the turbo cast wheels. with a nice dash 2. 2 top it off through in the fastest motor pontiac has 2 offer and i would buy that or use it in the movie in a heartbeat.

OK.. I don't really think they should use a main stream vehicle in the new movie.. although the original KITT was a main stream [but highly souped up version] of the Trans-Am.. why not make the new vehicle from a highly desirable concept car?? For example... I was working on the following just this morning and I think the hard lines look absolutely stunning!
This is the 1999 Pontiac GTO Concept vehicle.. IMO better than our [Australia's] Holden Monaro rip-off of a car that is on the market..

That Charger Kaine posted was the '99 Concept for the Charger, here's what the new Charger WILL look like:

yeah...the concept one would be sweet. And maybe dodge would be a better dealer for Knight Rider. Because, as we all know. Pontiac is run by a bunch of idiots when it came to that free advertising.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

the bosses at dodge must be crazy... the concept car looked so cool, the actual car that will be produced looks plain and has no character. really nothing special at all, just another ordinary car.
it's a shame they didn't go with the concept car

KnightRiderFinland, the 2004 Volvo YCC Concept car is amazing!
It's similar to the original Kitt, discreet, with classic lines and a modern style.
Nice work!
I enjoyed myself.

and... How´bout This!?

my modified version looks so good, doesn´t it!?

, it could be the perfect modern kitt with a retro look... but of course... too much re-stylings...

That looks great. I would buy one LOL. Just one thing, if we cant have T-tops can we have a moonroof. That would be awesome.

look at the rear side window, the space it´s too little to do a t-top conversion, i were trying with corel, but i preffer it without t-top, but how about a Cabrio Full conversion?
