Hey Don, welcome to the board! I've actually bought a Knight's head logo keychain from your site once. AWESOME K.I.T.T. replicas you own, I must say. They look 100% accurate to me. One day when I'm older and have the money, I plan to buy two '82 Trans Ams and have your company convert them to replicas, one K.I.T.T. with the 3rd/4th season dashboard & 4th season nose, and one K.A.R.R. with the 1st/2nd season dashboard, two-tone paint job, and with the turn signal blackouts on the front nose.
“Gimme maximum turbo thrust and blast me outta here, will ya!?”

Hey Don,
Welcome to the forum.
I have an 84 firebird that I plan to convert into a K.I.T.T. only thing is is that it is a V-6 with a five speed standard tranny. Don't know what would have more power - a standard tranny or a powered tranny. I like to light up the tires from a stop to get going but don't know if it is possible with my cars current set up.

Hey Don! Before I knew anything abotu you and I'd look through knightregistries i was always the most impressed by your replicas, they are...so near perfect. They're awesome! If I had a Trans Am and $40,000 I'd seek your help in making my replica!
Glad to see you here!

rusti_knight, and knightshade,
It was great meeting both of you as well.
I must admit, you guys really didn't catch me at my best. I was really really exhausted from the whole event. I couldn't think too clearly. Sorry if I came across a little "spacey"
I can't tell you how much everyone really appreciates you all coming. I think one thing really good that came out of this was getting the opportunity to meet new people and members of other boards. I really enjoyed it,.....glad it's over, but really enjoyed it. I hope you did as well.
When you get your membership approved, please visit the Registries more often, and hope you guys don't mind if I pop in here a little, every now and then.

You know I always wondered where KITT-X got his keychain from. (I saw it in a video clip on his site) Yeah, I was just checking out your site (Don) I saw you have the replica Bowling Ball hubcaps. A question about them, How hard are they to make? I also saw you have the reproduction Shifter. I've seen a shifter on ebay for the Bandit Trans Am. Looks pretty much the samee to me. Im not too sure about the grooves but they look like they can work.

Speaking of the Bandits Trans Am - I plan to aquire one in the future. Smokey and the Bandit is my all time fav movie. So naturally I want to get that car myself. But it pales in comparison to K.I.T.T. As soon as I am off the probationary period at my job - I fully intend on getting my car safetied and on the road. Only then will I be able to convert it into K.I.T.T.
But for now - I geuss I'll keep on walking.

When I get my Licence I was planning on getting a bandit. But things change now I want a 3rd Gen. I want to make it a KARR exterior conversion. The Interior would not have the custom dash But it would have the digital gauges from MCK.

I agree -- it was great to meet other KR fans who I haven't had the pleasure of talking to until now. A little cross pollination of different boards and interests is a great thing.Don Colie wrote: I think one thing really good that came out of this was getting the opportunity to meet new people and members of other boards.
And of course you are more than welcomed here.
