Autho Richie Levine Arrested?

Post by taned » Tue Apr 06, 2004 1:32 pm

hi all, I joined this forum because I had pre-ordered a Battlestar Galactica Book from Richie Levine (who also authored a Knight Rider book) but have never heard from him since.

After searching the net, I found him posting on this forum. I also found this link which might explain his absence.
http://www.da.westchester.ny.us/detailp.cfm?page=957

This personal website says he is from New York

And this interview page confirms his date of birth and age

I believe this is the same person who has cheated a few of us of our money. I would like to hear some of your views on what you think of POSSIBLY having one of your board members being a PEDOPHILE.

I would just like to take a moment and remind the people of this community that it is not our place to speculate about what is going on in the private lives of any of the individuals that post here. If true, this is one of the most sensitive issues we as a community have ever faced, and it is important to the endurance of our community that we do not let this turn into a free for all speculating about what may or may not have happened.

I would appreciate that everyone if they feel the need to comment to do it maturely and remember that this is ALLEGED, and innocent until proven guilty and all that. This is also a good time to remind everyone, especially our younger members, to be careful with who they talk to and NEVER give personal information out on the internet.

Why?

I do not believe that "our" Richie Levine is arrested, for that the interview for the DVD was on March 22 and the arrest on the 16th... Therefore, I believe that he is not the same Richie Levine.

I'm sorry knightdriver, but I think this is the kind of comment we're looking to avoid. Remember, this is a sensitive issue and we really don't know what all the facts are.

I’ve always wandered about how the cops do that. Isn’t that considered entrapment?

I understand. Innocent until proven guilty. However I do know he's guilty of receiving payment and then not answering any emails nor sending the book that was ordered. Which has forced me to look through the net for him. I have emailed him for months and he didn't reply at all. I thought maybe he died or something (I really did think that) so I did a more thorough search and found those links. If anyone is in contact with him, please ask him to respond. thanks
