What do so many fans like about that average-looking orange stock car with offensive decals so much? At times, it looks a joke!

Before KITT came around, the General Lee was the hottest thing around the TV world! As I've mentioned before, I was totally set on getting one when I grew up...

It isn't completely stock, there were at least a couple of custom items including the wheels and the front bar. I watched the pilot episode recently and was amazed at how cool it still looks today. Maybe you had to be a kid at the time it was first on TV to enjoy it's good looks...

To be honest, I had seen Knight Rider first in 1994/95. When I saw the car, I could not identify the make, not so well-read about cars then, but I liked the design. I saw it again in 2003, and found it was a Pontiac Trans Am, 1982 make. That was one of my personal favourite car designs. I became a big fan of KR at that time. When the second set of reruns started, I started posting here.

I looked for KR pages, and also those on other 80's shows I had seen, or heard of, such as Automan and Street Hawk. I had only then discovered Dukes. When I had seen screenshots of the show, and heard sound clips, I thought this is hardcore Southern State entertainment which can annoy you if you're not from there. I looked at the car- it looked like some cheap, two-cent stock car with strange colour and designs, compared to KITT, which was a much better and more stylish design. You're right, you have to watch Dukes before Knight to actually like it. I'm looking forward to watching the A-team, when it comes.

Wow... that is a bad site and a REALLY bad poll. How reliable is a survey when KITT is listed no less than three times? Let the General win this one... we're better than that :)

That has 3 Knight Rider entries, and 2 for that 1974 Ford Grand Torino, with as many as 50 cars. Strange poll, that one.

lmao, yeah, what's up with that poll...

I voted for KITT... the, um... first one lol. But I have to admit, I was leaning toward the Torino and the Bandit for a second there...
