Although the show re-used alot of stock footage, my belief is the following:
Turbo Boost = Jumping
Rocket Boost= Boost in speed
Rocket Fire= is just that. Fires the rear rockets Kitt had. Used in the
episode where Kitt brings the cliff down to stop the water
when the damn broke. (recycled superman footage)

Rocket Fire shot little rockets out. I think it was only ever used in 'Not A Drop To Drink' and that was about it.
Rocket Boost was to give a short burst of acceleration.

Rocket Fire was used in "Merchants of Death." Rocket Fire is like little rockets firing out. I saw the episode yestreday on the SciFi channel.

I've made a sound file of just my bill to put your disbelief into shocked awe of my knowledge and uncanny memory of knight rider.

I've thought that some of those little rocket kits you get from hobby stores would go a long way to "authenticating" a replica. Mount a few under the rear of the car. Just the thing for tailgaters

ok...so if turbo boost can also be used as a speed boost (as well as jumping) then you effectivly have 2 buttons doing the same function of speed boost?
was the rockey boost ever used?
