Got Lower Console done!
Got my Lower console done. SOOO happy about the way it turned out. Especially the screws. You really only get one shot on countersinks! I also would like to thank Billy of Knight Designs for alot of the pieces. Zap80 , thanks for the codemap. It became hard choices on the lower console pieces, but this is what I ended up with . You guys have a good one! Just excited like normal! . Thanks for looking and still have just a few little things to fix on this console, but for the most part , it's done. The last pic is the original, not the best pic , I know, but didn't feel like going through my CDs for the best shots. Later!

Wow! That looks great.I never knew kitt had a spot for quarters or tapes near the tape deck.Do the red and white buttons light up and make sounds?
Re: Got Lower Console done!
All light up except the Codemap and the down and up for windows. I plan on putting a LED in my upper console to help things out a bit. Thanks. I can't wait to be able to put this in. Anyway, Have a good one!

Hey. Nice Job! Can you help me out a bit? What type of rivets or screws you used for the console overlay?

I have never seen the question marks on thw buttons before. Odd. Lazy art designer for the show; there's only 26 letters in the aphabet, pick one.
And when things appeared to get better, they got worse, and everyday was a day to cry.

Re: Got Lower Console done!
It can be very tricky to figure out just what buttons looked like what. Despite having full access to the DVD's, these days, it turns out the show just kind of kept making it up as they went along. This would occur as each season kept making changes, the staged panels would be altered for episode needs, the 'show car' would have one 'old' set while the stunt cars might have something else of a simple nature, (Or none at all) close up footage used in one season might have been stock footage from another season...bla, bla, bla. In some respects, the pilot set up this ironic condition by switching around concepts from scene to scene.tharpdevenport wrote:I have never seen the question marks on thw buttons before. Odd.
