Ah that sounds good,I found one,for around 20k and it has 30k miles on it,its 2008 GT,well taken care of,I mean really beautiful. It doesnt have the vents on the side by the doors tho, there are some scratches on the glass windows in the door,Ive seen the car fax and the maintenance is up to date so as of right now Im thinkin it over.
What do you think on the price for it?too much?Just asking your opinion

Hey Matt, I got my Hood today with the hoodpins but there was no instructions. Where did you mount the bracket and also in what order do the pins go together? Is it Pin, spring, plate on top and then on bottom, washer and then clip? Also I need to talk to you about the scanner setup and cutout.
Thanks Ted

Assemble the spring onto the pin shaft, then install the washer (the washer rests on the upper side of the hood in order to protect the hood from the spring scratching it), then install the assembled hood pin through the holes in the hood, then install the snap ring to keep it all in place and on the hood.
If I remember correctly, the bracket should mount on the pinch weld portion at the very front of the radiator support. If you close your hood slowly and see where the hood pins will rest, you should get an idea of where to drill the holes and mount the bracket.
Maybe Josh can setup another skype chat...

Hey Matt, I got the pins in and the hood fit great. I found a place to paint the hood ($800) If you can, can you tell me where to cut the bottom part out to install the scanner. Also, did you remove the whole grille and I wanted to find out where you got the lense made. Send me a email and I will send you my number.
Thanks Ted

I was curious about the foglights on KI3Ts bumper, when you mod the Grill and front bumper on a GT do you move those lights in the center of the grill down to the bumper or are they new lights entirely?
Hope Im making sense

The GT500 front end uses different fog lights than the regular GT.

So basically new fog lights entirely in the bumper?
So what do you with the GT fog lights after you put the new bumper and grill in,just throw em or what?

I just droped off the hood at the bosyshop to get it painted. It should be ready in about a week. Can't wait to get it back on. I cut the grille out and made 2 access holes under the hood for the scanner to go in. I will post some new pictures up later. Still tired from my trip to Tenn. to see my dad, he had a stroke a week ago today and is doing better.

Standard Mustang GT (no supercharger/turbocharger) will take as low as 87 octane (regular) fuel. It's actually recommended by Ford.

Ok the reason Im asking is cuz Im looking at 2 GTs in my area and one is an 07 Pony Package, the owner said it takes premium gas,the other GT is a standard 08 and the owner said it takes regular unleaded,so hence my confusion

Yes, they are set up from the factory to use 87 octane. If you have a Shelby or Roush or a supercharger, they use a higher octane. A friends son put high octane in a V6 and the car ran bad.

Make sure you know if they have done anything to the engine so you know what kind of gas or many. You need to do to the car.
