It's true.
Despite reports coming out of David Hasselhoff's camp there's no denying that the Baywatch star was not only drunk Saturday, he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and suffered alcohol poisoning.
Sadly, his daughter Hayley, 16, found him unconscious on the floor of his home in Encino, California.
Hasselhoff, who has struggled with alcohol for years much like the growing list of celebrity addicts, apparently has his enablers, er, spin team, who are being quoted as "sources" in other reports saying that the Hoff "regrets" drinking too much but is fine.
We agree, if "fine" is defined as now home from the hospital after being intoxicated to the point where he was MORE THAN FOUR TIMES the legal limit (which is .08).
Anyone remember that video, taken by his teenage daughter, of the drunk, shirtless Hoff eating pizza on the floor while cursing?
As bad as that situation was, Hoff was in even worse shape Saturday, sources tell RadarOnline.com.
His daughter Hayley called her mom after finding her dad unconscious. Her mother lives 10 minutes away in the Hollywood Hills and she rushed to the rescue and drove Hoff to the hospital where doctors yet again saved his life.
A source said a frightened Hayley kept “slapping her dad’s face” to keep him alive.
He's out of the hospital now and instead of owning up to his problem, he seems to be sitting back while his rep tells other outlets he "is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father, Joe Hasselhoff's 80th birthday tonight at dinner... along with his girlfriend, Kimberly."
We think he's probably had enough celebrating.
Sources close to the situation are so outraged by the attempted coverup of Hoff's problem that they reveal to RadarOnline.com exclusively that Hoff has been treated for alcohol poisoning at hospitals MORE THAN FIVE TIMES!
And yet he and the spin team are still in denial.
How sad.

He's had this trouble for decades now, but this time he almost died. Will this be his wakeup call? Who knows, but I sure hope it is. If it hadn't been for his 16 year old daughter and his ex-wife he'd probably be dead instead of in the hospital.

I really don’t think this is our business to discuss. The fact is that alcoholics suffer relapses all the time, and many can't completely accept that they have a problem for as long as they live. The truly sad part is that troubled celebrities are constantly preyed upon by the most rabid elements of the tabloid media, who are desperate for every scrap of dirt available.

I don't usually pay much attention to the tabloids. If it reaches real news, then maybe. But If your interested TMZ I am thinking is one of the more reliable of them, has this story.

We've gotten to the bottom of the David Hasselhoff mystery, and it ain't the way his ex is painting it.
Here's what we know. This past Saturday, David was at home with his daughter Hayley and there was a squabble. David had been drinking but nowhere near the level that his ex is painting it. The Hoff had not been feeling well, and the illness, combined with the alcohol, made a trip to the hospital prudent.
David walked to the car, where he was driven to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He had not passed out, contrary to reports. He walked on his own power and was released yesterday.
Hasselhoff is fine, though he regrets drinking.
Bottom line -- David's ex, Pamela Bach, is on the warpath and her story just doesn't ring true.

Its a shame to have the Hoff in this situation. I hope he recovers and get off this ugly problem
