Right now, Wal-Mart is selling this St. Patrick's Day necklace thing with an attention catching light for $5. It uses six red LED's that go from left to right, only to reverse and repeat. The little device is easy to remove from the piece of cheap jewelry and looks about as good as the miniature KITT from the show. It's a rather ugly green thing...shamrock, or something.
So. looking for a cheap scanner for a miniature, you might want to find one of these while they're still around. Or, better yet, wait a day after St. Patrick's for prices to drop before they are gone.
Just thought I'd pass the word along.
Possible prop lighting.

Well Jup I scanned around three Supercenters and couldn't find the thing that went back and forth. I found a $5 green shamrock necklace that had six LED's on it but it just flashed green fast and random. If you can get a pic of it that would be great.

I remembered this morning to grab the video camera and the shamrock thing before going off to work. Video uploaded to YouTube. Meant to do tihs days ago. Alas...I'm still pondering why two years of my life feel like they've gone by in six months.
Perhaps, it's my computer. But, the footage looks like the LED's are not staying consistant, even having an intermittent off cycle. Not sure why. But, the thing remains active as long as it's switched on.
For $5, (and soon to be far less) it's not a bad find.

Hummm...with St. Patrick's day having come and gone, I am almost sure that those necklace icons are already half off. Wally's probably still got a few, hanging around. Perhaps, I can stop by and purchase what ever is left before heading off to Vegas.
Tempting to depart right now. Though, I'm not truly sure about being awake for the whole period of driving and...rambling off topic. Got to stop that.
