If NBC doesn't Renew the show, Then they should sell ...

Post by KnightBird » Mon Feb 02, 2009 12:18 am

Ok, this is what i think NBS should do. If they don't want to give it a chance to be renewed for a second season. Then they should sell it to another station or sell the TV rights back to Glen A Larson.. So that maybe he or another station could take it under their wing and do a True Reboot of the show. What i mean is Start it back from the very beginning to where it all began. Larson is planing on doing that anyway with the possible Big Screen movie. maybe it could pick up where the movie left off and be turned into a weekly series sepending how well the movie does. if its even made. if the movie doesnt get made, which i believe it will one day anyway. he could just make another starting back from the beginning. since NBC has screwed it up already by not pushing the current show and allowing someone like GST mess it up. To me it sounds like it was done purposely. With all the non sense stuff like Transformations(lame) the t&a, and Kitts attack mode(just to bulky looking) like others have said on the forums. kitt is supposed to be the car of the future, with technology not out yet(except transformations) he should be all black (stealth looking), no intakes on the hood and no big ass silver shiney wheels. they should have made it black. now the story has gotten better,But like i said before i think just like others feel that NBS just doesn't care anymore.(or did they really) and that shows how stupid the higher ups are by not letting it have a chance. . also they screwed up Karr. they should not have let it transform into some big ass transformer want a be. this is not transformers. they should have let it be just Karr vs Kitt as cars or mustangs battling it like in the original. but that was on the idiotic writers or GST idea. Very lame. it was cool to have the original voice of Karr. So i believe since NBs doesnt want anything to do with the show once its over than Sell it off to a true TV network or back to Glen Larson so that they can take it back to its true roots. You know what, I think you are totally right. I dont understand, why bring KR back and then cancel it after only 1 season??? and then controll the whole thing by saying we got the RIGHTS!!!
I agree about the Attack Mode, I always said I like the Pilot version more. I think the transformation is a good idea that was miss used by the writers. as for KARR, I am with you they they have lost the chance to make a great come back for this big name. but again, I think we got our big FREINDS back in NBC to thank for that, remeber, they decided to cut the number of episods. :kitt:

Universal owns Knight Rider as far as TV stuff goes. It's a very profitable property for them in foreign markets due to the syndication and merchandising. They won't give any rights over to Glen Larson no matter what happens with the new show. I do think it would be very interesting to see what he could do with the concept given today's production technology.

If a new show is ever made, it might take a few years to come out, so people forget this one.

Also, I want to write a few eps for it. >_> Heck, I want to write a few eps for the second season of the current show, if we get one.
