Same 1982 firebird

did they use the same 1982 firebird in every season? Or did they Update with 1983,1984,1985,1986. I guess waht Im asking is that every new season on of Knight Rider did they have newest firebird or did they just stick with the 1982 modle for the life of the show?

Pretty sure it was always an '82. Never looks to be a more recent model, though I suppose they could've used a more recent one with a body kit in later seasons.
I really don't know, but I'd say they stayed with the '82.

I believe for the first two seasons it was an ’82 model. ’83s and ’84s were used in seasons 3 & 4. I could be wrong that ’82s were used for the first two seasons as it's possible they upgraded year by year. An easy way to tell is to pay attention to the back seat in seasons 3 & 4 as it constantly switches from being split and unsplit throughout scenes as the stunt cars were constantly used back and forth. I also believe the Hero Car was always an ’82 model, though.
