Will KITT ever see 300 mph
When they reavealed the all new Attack Mode
GST said the scoop was needed to get KITT over 300 mph
The only mention was in the series premeire when KITT was on fire
but he wasn't in Attack Mode either

Well the problem with going at such a speed is that it really leaves a very and I mean a very narrow margin for error. Turn a little more or less than required and you go off thumbing at super speed....K2000kid wrote:When they reavealed the all new Attack Mode

Yeah, that's what KI3T is for. Driving at 300mph, yeah, any tiny slip would send you careening off the road. KI3T, however, can handle that speed and deal with the tiny changes required to stay on course. This would logically explain Attack Mode's larger back wheels and wider stance, along with its forward slant and huge rear wing (for downforce).

I believe that the turbo boosts probably go over 300 mph but am not sure but other than the fire in episode one I don't remember him going up to 300 mph either.

Re: Will KITT ever see 300 mph
I wasnt exactly talking about a winding road here
But say when they have to get somewhere 60 miles away without any C130's in the area
plot the straightest route and let KITT do his stuff
Great oppurtunity to have KITT blow thru a speed trap too
better yet one of those road side speed activated cameras that take a picture of the car
but fail to capture KITT because he was doing over 300mph

Even on straight road unless your car has winglets to keep it from doing a backflip you would be in trouble, hence the winglets in the so called attack mode...K2000kid wrote:I wasnt exactly talking about a winding road here

However they have to do it
just show him speeding to the rescue
even if they drive 80 or 100 past cars that are doing 10-20 mph
then show the HUD approaching 300 is good enough for me

Again he would have to be in the so called attack mode to reach that speed and only KITT could pull of such a feat, there is no way for Mike to do it by himself we humans simply do not have the reaction time necessary to pull it off...K2000kid wrote:However they have to do it
