Ki3t's processor is taken so KARR can be reactivated....
Isnt that in the episode synopsis???
Which means that Ki3t may not necessarily have the Nanotech as its not active without the cpu....

Geek alert warning! It's not a real GT500KR... Just a body kitted GT. Still... good to see some real bashing! Excellent! Now I must track this car down and fix it up.

The back end looks melted.
Im wondering if its from an explosion or Karr has some form of flame thrower?

I don't think this is KITT, this is KARR for one reason..
Obviously the car was on fire since you can see the rally stripes are all wrinkled and the rear lights look like they are melted..
But think about the story line for a minute, the SSC isn't available to KITT anymore for repair and the next episode has KITT in it and Sarah rebuilding the Foundation for Law and Government. So where is KITT going to get repaired in the meantime unless I am mistaken and Knight to Kings Pawn is a "two parter" I would assume that it would be as there is a lot of story to be placed in one full hour....
So KARR I think is that car you see and KITT is somewhat A-OK with a few bumps and bruises LOL....
So is Knight to Kings Pawn a two parter?????

I read on the homepage that one of the complaints about the new series is that KITT didn't see much damage. Well, nor did the original KITT! With the exception of season 3 where he was destroyed twice, it was usually once a season.
So I'm not sure what the complainers are talking about.
If anything KITT has been beaten up quite a bit this season. In episode 2 KITT's cpu was damaged in the first 5 minutes and in the pilot the bad guys were shooting him up near the end since his CPU was turned off.
Nano definetely has it's drawbacks.

Whoa- that looks like some heavy damage. Is that spray paint or the real after effects of the fire? Was looking to see if any of the parts are salvalgeable here.
I wonder if the production team would be interested in selling the 20" Alcoa Rims and the hood if they no longer have a use for them? They would make a great addition to my KI3T replica

Odd, one of my complaints is that KI3T seems so darned fragile. I liked TOS KITT being so tough.
Nano definitely does have it's drawbacks, they should put the molecular-bonded shell underneath. Might prevent KI3T from transforming though. Not that that's a bad thing.... >_>

What if there is a new MBSformula that is flexable for the transformations? Perhaps with the reboot, and restarting FLAG the formula is recovered and updated. With the help of Michael Sr and KI2T.
There were 3 KITTs in Dr Grainman's garage... speculation are the3 versions of KI2T from TOS.
First season, Upgrade from Knight of the Drones, and 4th season (shudders) convertable.

There's a scene in the new opening credits where KITT is blasted, lights on fire and flips. I'm sure this is the aftermath of that. And yeah, I totally got "Junkyard Dog" vibes off of this!

No, that's from "Knight of the Hunter", the fifth episode.
But yeah, this does seem rather like "Junkyard Dog", the only episode of the original series that I've managed to see in full thus far. Poor KITT...

Ah, my bad. I didn't remember the flipping being so severe in "Hunter". Still, considering the guns KARR is packing, I'm not surprised KITT looks like this after the fight.

KITT getting trashed in the original series always elevated the drama because he was the "super car". KI3T has sort of been "less so" of a super car (it seems to vary depending on who writes the script). Overall however, I'm looking forward to seeing how he *gets* in this condition!

In "Junkyard Dog", KITT was totally gutted. All that remained in anyway intact, bar the
surface corrosion, was his Trans-Am shell ... everything else was pretty much gone.
Judging by these pics, the damage sustained by new KITT looks to be external only.
Much like Knightfan82 said, it's not dissimilar to the level of damage from Goliath.

Ditto, I haven't seen anyone complain about the new KITT not taking enough damage. He's taken waaaay too much if anything. Unless they're complaining about the cars and stunt work not being all that demanding and the cars aren't getting beaten up, which then I think would somewhat be valid. Though we see now they have stunt cars and they've taken quite a beating, heh. Not on a TOS level but still they're getting some use out of them.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!
