Hi everyone this is transam82, just wanted to say hi, I went today to the Olympic Training Center located in Chula Vista, California which is just south of San Diego, I took a picture of my KITT Replica parked in front, which is currently "In progress" built on top of a oiginal 1982 Pontiac Trans Am - 5.0 Crossfire Injection engine. Car run's like a top, future plans is to paint the car black, I do have the correct rims and I have the bowling ball caps.

Why is Kitt Red?
It reminds me of what he said in "Knight Sting." "I'm the Knight Industries Two Thousand, not a Tomatoe on wheels"

KITT is not only red, he's has a white hood, black nose and a blue wing. Lots of luck, hopefully soon he will sport his traditional black paint job.
P.S. If you think about it he is sporting the colors of the Olympics

Original hood had a bang one side from previous owner forcing the hood open (Important third gen owners, make sure to keep your hood hinges lubricated) also hood had a couple dents in it, I ended up replacing the hood with a used mint hood off a white 1983 Pontiac Trans Am, it was easier and cheaper then having a body shop work on the old hood.
