ok i know this has been a topic of discussion already. but i still find myself a bit puzzeled as to when and whom his mother could be from the original series episodes.if GST mentions it the new series as who she is and when she had mike then i am guessing that he will surprise us and reveal a character from the original that we could have never thought of. so here is my guess. after watching an episode from season 1 titiled "not my bill" there was a female in there who was the senators (maggie) secretary named Jane. never mentioned her last name. but given the fact that
Maggie is on the board of the foundation and that now links jane to the foundation. so it could have gone like her and michael hooked up (maybe) she got pregnant. the foundation, michael and jane decide for the best interests and protection that she needed to change her name so that it doesnt have any link or connection to michael knight. and then they relocate her to a new place close to Charles Graiman so that he could look after her and the Son. And mike and Graimens Daughter would be able to grow up together. JAne kind of looks like mike's mom in her younger years. of course being played by someone different. so this is what i have come up with. i realize this maybe way off or may not be possible but would like to know what every thinks and their input on this as well.

Not a bad idea. In the KR2008 movie, wasn't Mike's mom refered to as Jennifer?

Re: mike tracers mother?
I've said this in another thread, but my theory is that Jennifer came along during those in-between missions between "Knight Of the Phoenix" and "Deadly Maneuvers." Mike Traceur would have had to have been conceived in October of 1982 because of his birthdate found on his driver's license, and since the series was set in approximate real-time, "Deadly Maneuvers" aired in October of '82. So it fits the time frame and also explains why there was no Jennifer that fit Mike's mother's description in the original series, because she and Michael's "relationship" was off-camera.

Mike's real mother could have had any name.
Remember the funeral scene between MT and MK, MK says "from the first day..."
Now, I don't know about you but to me the more natural thing to say, in terms of common expressions and terminology would have been "from the day you were born..." or words to that effect. It's a very ambiguous phrase and reminds me a lot of KOTP when Devon remarks to Wilton that MK, post surgery, looks like Wilton in his youth. Then we have Garth Knight cropping up in season 2...
Unless "Jenny" did not meet Mike on the day he was born for example if he was adopted, which then opens up the possibilities of another storyline arc with Mike searching for his true roots and along the way bringing back his father in the search. I see potential for a large background story for Mike and Michael where old memories resurface.
I'm quite interested in why Jenny was so opposed to technology though. I understand that GST wants to create his own mythology and thats fine but surely there are storylines to be had and rewritten from elements of the pilot....

I also would like to believe that Mike's mother wasn't his real mother. It would explain a lot. My theory is Mike's real mom is someone else who was on the series... someone who was gone the whole season Mike was born abruptly...... interesting back story that could be.... hehehe....pheonix_knight wrote:Mike's real mother could have had any name.

Nah, that would only complicate things more. His date of birth makes things even more screwy.
