1) Stock DMC Delorean
2) Delorean from Back To The Future II (Many inaccuracies - VERY short run)
3) Delorean from Back To The Future II (More accurate version)
4) Stock DMC Delorean in gold
5) Delorean from Back To The Future I
6) Delorean from Back To The Future III (Whitewall 50's Tires)
7) Delorean from Back To The Future III (Traintrack wheels)
Out of the handful of real-life gold DeLoreans, there's also an existing one with grey interior. Not enough of a difference to warrant yet another version of the model, I guess.

To my understanding, there were only 3 AMEX Delorean's released. The third one was kinda "thrown" together. Am I wrong?

Yes, there were only three, and that's probably the reason why.

That's just the photo. They're the same tool. I have them side by side & they look identical otherwise.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the box. The empty box was stolen from my garage some years ago. Even so, I'm not one to sell my things, so the box would just take up space. Some day, I hope to hand down my collection to my children.

I wish I knew why Greenlight is taking so long to bring out the 1989 Pontiac Trans Am. Greenlight said it was coming out in the summer but it never came out nor when they said in October. I'm definitely looking towards buying that pace car in the blinking of an eye once it's ready.

I think the production ideas were scrapped due to lackluster sales of the K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. Ertl models.

Incorrect. The model has been delayed until 2008. If I remember correctly, it will be released within the first quarter, but don't quote me on that.

Good to hear. It would've been a shame to have wasted that model prototype.

If I'm not mistaken isn't the joyride KITT/KARR selling for at least 100.00 on ebay? I almost gave mine away from a project but luckily I was able to get it back because when I went to replace it (thinking that I could) the KITT/KARR's sold out entirely and weren't going to be restocked?

I love my Joyride KITT just as much as my Joyride Christine with the light up headlights. I like how they have a errie blue tint to them, really sells the creepiness of the car which PBH did a great job capturing.

Thanks for posting the pics of the Delorean, I plan to get some of those soon if I still can. I've always been partial to the BTTF 2 hover version of it.

Thanks for posting those pics PBH, I saw the grey prototype earlier but haven't seen the more complete gold coloured prototype, looks really great so far! I like they've used realistic hinges in the doors and the trunklid looks accurate too, no extra metal frame around the rear window like KITT/KARR models. Only the wipers should go from the windshield, they're hidden under the hood in the real car, not visible like that.

Cool, it looks more and more complete.

While waiting this, some time ago I found out the Revell has re-released the older Monogram '91 Firebird Formula modelkit and decided to pick it up. The box says copyright 2007 so I guess it's re-released last year, it's 2in1 modelkit, you can build it either stock Firebird or a "tuning" version, I'll make stock version :)

Try at least $150.00 to $250.00 & thats without shipping! I had to learn this the hard way instead of listening to myself when i could have got it for $38.99 years ago!

Don't make the same mistake when the 1:18 Knight Rider Mustang is released soon.

man, why couldn't AMT/Ertl make the KITT's hatchback be all 'glass' like that instead of that cheesy metal frame that surrounded the rear window and then tint it to 'hide' it . that and the fact that the nose is a season 4 and the hood bulge is off and the taillights are the 85-92 style that curve out...... .

although I agree, we also need to keep in mind that there is a BIG difference as to the detail & quality between Greenlight & Ertl. Mind you, considering the price of their vehicles, I think Ertl provided great quality relatively.

Ertl based KITT off replicas not from the series, which is why the first series had the orange turn signal lights & the shark front bumper.

that is still no excuse for the hood scoop as the replica had a real cowl hood and the rear 'glass'. at least with the plastic model 'kitt' the body was dead on and only needed minor tweaking to make it look like the 1/1 car. If the black GTA as removable t tops i may get it. i hope that the turbo indy 500 car is not the only one to have em :(.

Amazing. Who would've thought? I have the ERTL Joyride version of K.I.T.T. and the first-issued Aoshima version of K.A.R.R. and paid $125.00 for it on eBay, if I remember correctly. At the time the Aoshima versions were rarities and K.A.R.R. was only available from Aoshima. A year or two later, ERTL finally released their version of K.A.R.R., but without a sticker for the license plate. Now all I really have to show for my version of K.A.R.R. is the license plate, as ERTL corrected the amber fog light issue by the time they released their version yet didn't put a license plate on it. But, since I'm a fan, it's still worth it as the lack of a plate would have bugged me.

My only regret now is that I didn't just buy a couple of extra models and leave them unopened. But at the time, it appeared to all of us that the models were going to be common production copies, not models that rarely got restocked. Oh, well...

Release date for the GTA is 4/08 & is limited to 1500 each for the red & black 350ci versions & the turbo pace car is limited to 3500 units. And the KITT Mustang is set to release 8/08.
