I had recently explained the expiration of a couple of the old parts used in the digit display circuitry of the speedo and tach modules. I have sourced and found new parts from a worldwide IC manufacturer which does the job of the 2 IC's that are now out of production. This new circuit has loads of new features built in which include, none other than the "auto-zero"! This has
NEVER been accomplished EVER before without the use of MCU technology. I have my doubts in the use of MCU chips aka PIC programmable chips as they have the tendency of "missing" pulses and picking up erratic noise from the ignition, therefore I have sourced out this high quality chip from Intersil.
