Any other KR fan clubs out there?

I was just wondering if there are any other KR fan clubs out there? I belong to the SoCal/OC chapter.

Do you all ever get together or anything? Like a KR family reunion/picnic type of event?? That would be cool.

Maybe there is some secret password we do not know about and since we are not in the know, other KR fans will not speak to us.....kind of like the real world, huh? LOL

I really don't understand. I mean, we're nice enough, right? And i don't know what you're talking about. People talk to me all the time. Especially when i'm wearing my Hass the Hoff shirt.

I don't think I've ever heard of a KR fan club in SoCal. Can you tell us more about it?

I would love to join a K.R.F.C.

You know when I was in school I used to get beat up for being such a fan of the hoff and Kitt. but now after I stumbling accross this site. Im so happy to find others like me.

I would love to come to any of these meetings.

I could go into great detail, but figred it would be much easier just to answer questions. You are more than welcome to come join one of the meetings if you would like.

OK, fess up... we have 3 people from the same club who signed up on this site on the same day to generate a "discussion" about their club. That's cool and fine, I'll bite. But rather than me asking random questions, I think it would be easier on all of us if you gave us some background information.

That so totally used to happen to me too! Ugh. Thankfully those days are over and we can relish in our fan clubs!!!

As president, I will go ahead and take the initiative here. I've been a fan of KR since i was a kid. I watched the Hoff at about 5 and have been addicted ever since. I recently started a fan club with a few other friends who live near me, Hence the OC KR FC. We meet a couple of times a month to watch KR re-runs, dvds, etc. and discuss the merits of Hoff's musical talent. If you wish to join, there is an application process, including a little questionnaire that must be filled out and returned with pictures (yours, that is). Yo<3Hasselhoff will be hosting the FIRST EVER OCKRFC costume party (im still working on my KITT costume, wish me luck!) so PM him for details.

Why is everyone on this site so apprehensive to us? I guess I thought since we all have a common interest that we would receive a warmer welcome.

Maybe everyone already has so many friends???

Maybe its the heard mentality? You know people always look at us funny when were together in a group... its kind of intimidating i guess.

Wow.

Im guessing we wont be seeing many of the KRO board members at the costume party.

I guess some background info has already been shared.

I will go into my personal story of why KR means so much to me. and maybe some of you will understand.

As a kid growing up my mom was a work-aholic and my dad was an alchoholic, so this meant I spent a lot of time alone. I had 3 shows that pretty much ruled my life Bonanza, A-team, and then my Favorite was Knight Rider. I watched those shows religiously and watching KR was the highlight of my day. I can honestly say that I had always secretly hoped that one day I could drive a car into the back of a semi truck and get out of my life. But for those short times I was completely ingulfed in TV-land and all my unhappiness went away.

Now I apologise that I dont have all the knowledge that you guys have (such as what the lights on KITTs dash mean) but I thought thats what places like this were for, guess I was wrong. In high school got made fun of because the other kids found out I watched re-runs of KR religiously and that I was saving up all the money I made working odd jobs to eventually buy and build a KITT replica. I was kinda hoping that the info from this site would help in that project. Luckily for us I have stumbled accross some other KR forums on the web. and hopefully these other sites will be more welcoming to nerwcomers than you guys have been.

If you guys would like, we are planning a meeting at House of Brews in Hutnington Beach, This Thursday @ 9pm. it wont be hard to mistake us, there will be a group of 7 of us dressed in differing KR era clothing. and quite a few wannabe KITT replicas in the parking lot.

Feel free to come on down and join us. We try to meet on a mothly basis and sometimes we even go Bi.

Sometimes the House of Brews Meetings can get a little crazy... so put your game faces on people.

KR discussions have been known get pretty intense.

Its getting weird you even post within 3 minutes of each other. You need to talk about something more in general to do with Knight Rider. Its probably not a bad thing that you have a club and are all talking here but its strange that you are the only people talking here.

Hi. We all have office jobs. Hence, why we are in front of a computer all day, from approximately 8 am to 5 pm, pacific standard time. Sorry if we're a little excited about the club, we'd love to meet some other KR fans out there.
