I finally bought a trans am!!

G'day guys I finally bought a trans am (right hand drive version)

its a black 1988 with all options, ttops auto and a 350 V8
bought it last week from adelaide South Australia, three states away,
Im excited, scared, nervouse all at once, the car is being trucked as we
speek and it should arrive friday arvo, ready for weekend crusing
Ive got a nose and scanner on order and looking for the corred cowl hood
and rear spoiler, at the moment its got 18inch wheels , which Ill keep for a while, got plans to go in the paint shop in a couple of months..

this has been a 20 year search

Congratulations!! It would feel so great to get one! Looks like it even has a special air filter i think it is! So are you planning to make a full KITT replica with the dash and all the parts or just a few things like the nose scanner etc.

im going to do a full 3/4 season replica
hopefully with full mobile internet, gps navigation
tv /satelite tv etc ,kitts gonna rock :D

That car looks awesome! I wish I could find one in South Africa. They are very hard to come by here and if you do the seller wants an arm and a leg for it even if it looks like it just got back from a fight with Goliath LOL.

still can't get over KITT in RHD??

Would have made it so much easier if the ones over here in england were.

WOW!! I just read that, that's awesome! I love the idea of Aussie.Kitt having the season 1/2 RHD dash and your going to have the 3/4 RHD Dash it will be awesome!

if You had bought 19829 T/A you could make the pilote episode kitt but i quess it was hard enough
to buy or find that car

I am afraid a 19829 Trans Am is non existant its a lot of milleniums before that comes up. Its likely KITT will have already been made by then.
