Killer K.I.T.T. continuity error

Post by HungarianKnight » Tue Apr 25, 2006 1:03 pm

I noticed a huge error in Killer K.I.T.T. As the fake Bonnie installs the new memory module to Kitt's mainboard (Is it actually a mainboard?), she simply pops the old one out. As Michael tries to do the same thing, he faces difficulties and the real Bonnie says that he must push the circuit board inwards and turn it to the left (or right). How was the fake Bonnie capable of shifting the circuit boards without this safety mechanism?!

Perhaps she did that procedure and we didn't get to see it (don't seem to remember how she did it in great detail)? Or perhaps Kitt helped her out, by deactivating the security mechanism or pushing out the card so the job could be done faster, cause they were on duty remember? It's a possibility...
Michael: Kitt what matters to me is who you are not what you look like. Sure we don't have the car so we can't turbo boost so we can't go over 200 miles an hour but it was all icing on the cake anyway

I always assumed it was part of the electronic anti-theft system Berio activated.
“Gimme maximum turbo thrust and blast me outta here, will ya!?”

We just have to assume Bonnie relocated it when they had to rebuilt Kitt in Junkyard Dog.

Easy. Kitt thought it was genuinely Bonnie so he turned off the safety mechanism himself, allowing the fake Bonnie to easily swap over the circuits.

A bigger question to me is why didn't Bario have KITT eject Michael from the driver's seat before Michael regained control of KITT.

Another strange thing is, I never knew of a plug-in circuit board where you had to push in and TWIST it. If it plugs in to the socket, it can't physically twist, otherwise you'd risk breaking the board, or the board wouldn't meet the connectors. Logically, this shouldn't happen.

Even with my new digital camera, which is a push-in card type deal, you push in but you don't twist. Just push in to get it to pop out.
