Last night I went to a Test Screening of "Click". Adam Sandler stars as a man who gets a "Universal Remote" which lets him literally control his universe: he can mute people, fast forward through boring dinners and traffic, replay events in his life... etc. David Hasselhoff plays his slimey boss who demands more and more work from him but refuses to give him a promotion. The movie opens in June.
Since this was a test screening, the movie isn't finalized. We filled out detailed surveys saying what we liked and didn't like about the film. Based on that information, the creators may add scenes, delete scenes, reshoot some segments... do whatever it takes to improve the movie.
Hasselhoff doesn't have a very big part, but he is in some of the scenes with the biggest laughs. In the trailer, you see him getting punched by Sandler. Let's just say that's not the worst of his indignities, and I think once the movie comes out a lot of websites and late night talk shows will be running some clips of him.
Unfortunately, although Hasselhoff is perfectly cast as the all-smiles/no substance boss, his role isn't big enough to create a solid, funny relationship with Sandler. Hopefully that will be fixed before the film is released.

Of course I would love to see a test screening of Knight Rider. But it isn't that simple. Most test-screening audiences are literally pulled from the street; some guy handing out flyers on the street asking if you want to see a free movie. Sometimes you won't even know which movie it is. They may tell you it's "a romantic comedy" or "an action film with Bruce Willis".
In this case I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I got the flyer on Sunday and it specifically said it was a screening of "Click" so I made sure to sign up. Even then, admission is not guaranteed so you have to get there early and just hope that you don't get cut from the demographic they're targetting.
