However, the latter feature is almost never used, especially because Pursuit Mode achieves the same purpose. Explanations in the series of the Turbo Boost’s function range from near-instantaneous volume increase in the tires to thrusters placed in the back. Turbo Boosts are usually controlled by on-board computers to provide the maximum height and precise landing spot needed.
